Job Summary:

This newly created position will be part of the Executive Team as the Chief Growth Officer, reporting to the CEO. This individual will be responsible for leading all aspects of the company’s growth strategy, including Sales, Account Success, Contract Enablement, and Partnerships. They will guide the Sales team’s strategy, overseeing go-to-market approach, sales pipeline management, and market positioning. In this effort, they will champion efforts to identify, qualify, and close large strategic deals with a scalable and repeatable approach. They will lead and scale an end-to-end sales process with commercial, State/National and Regional Health plans, hyperfocused on Medicaid contracts.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading growth-oriented teams with the ability to build and manage a sales pipeline with complex health plan sales cycles involving multiple functions and economic buyers. They will be a master of contracting structures within a Medicaid book of business with the ability to implement structures strategically based on partner and regulatory complexities. This individual will bring a depth of experience in a role that requires both individual sales as well as the build-out, development, and management of a business development/sales and account success team. They will work with their teams to succeed by “selling upwards” throughout an organization.

This individual must bring strong business and technical acumen, intellectual horsepower, and an in-depth understanding of the complexity of the healthcare economics of value-based care associated with care delivery, managing to quality metrics, outcomes, and risk management. In addition, the Chief Growth Officer will bring a strong rigor and process-oriented approach to the sales process and account success.

Performance & Success Measures:

  • Successfully negotiate sales contracts within Medicaid, Commercial and Medicaid books of business
  • Execute strategic contracts with Medicaid, Commercial, and Medicaid partners despite regulatory complexity
  • Source New and Enhance Existing payer partnerships to enhance reimbursement rates
  • Source, negotiate, and execute contracts with new and existing partners such as health systems and hospitals, provider networks, traditional treatment programs, and other virtual providers
  • Oversee management of relationships with existing payers and partners, with a focus on partner satisfaction and revenue cycle management
  • Reinforce a metrics-driven culture focused on collaboration
  • Build and manage business development representative workforce to support sales relationships

Qualifications:

  • Accomplished sales leader with a demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue targets and leading teams to source and close deals with Medicaid plans, commercial, State/National and Regional Health Plans, as well as strategic partnerships.
  • Past experience developing, implementing and hard-wiring a scalable, predictable sales process, in the contracting space. Well-networked within the Medicaid space.
  • Master of contracting structures within varied books of business with the ability to implement structures strategically based on partner and regulatory complexity.
  • Collaborative member of the executive team capable of building trusted relationships with key internal stakeholders including clinical, marketing, R&D, technology, finance, etc.
  • Expertise in leading an end-to-end sales process, from lead generation through pain point identification, to close and upsells. Success coaching the team in each step of the sales process.
  • Expertise in working with health plans and other partners to resolve claims issues and denials and ensure adherence to billable contracted rates.
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare economics of value-based care associated with care delivery, managing to quality metrics and outcomes, and risk management.
  • Proven track record of building and leading great teams with a systematic, structured approach to recruitment, training and ongoing development and evaluation.
  • Hands-on coach who recognizes their team’s strengths and weaknesses and places members into positions that lead to current and future success. Evaluates existing talent, as well as coach and motivate (or turn over) non-performers.
