Job Summary
We are looking for an attentive and driven Solutions Architect to join our team. The Solution Architect will design and implement technology solutions that align with business goals. They bridge the gap between business needs and technical capabilities, ensuring that solutions are cost-effective and efficient.
This position will report directly to Dan Pilone, Interim CTO. This is a remote position.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify areas where technology can improve processes and outcomes.
- Develop comprehensive architectural solutions that address functional and non-functional requirements, considering factors like scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools to meet the needs of the solution.
- Oversee the development and implementation of the solution, ensuring it aligns with the designed architecture.
- Maintain documentation of the solution, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and implementation guides.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide technical expertise to resolve problems that arise during implementation.
- Communicate solution designs and implementation plans to stakeholders, ensuring everyone understands the project and its objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the solution's performance, identify areas for improvement, and propose changes to optimize the solution

Preferred Skills
- Deep Technical Expertise: Possess a strong foundational understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, security, databases, and application architecture. Ability to design scalable, resilient, and cost-effective solutions.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Proven ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into practical, innovative technical solutions. Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Adept at identifying technical challenges, analyzing root causes, and developing strategic solutions. Ability to think critically and creatively under pressure.
- Project Management & Execution: Experience in leading technical projects from inception to completion, including defining scope, managing timelines, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Sales Engineering Acumen: Prior experience in a pre-sales or solutions engineering role, including conducting technical demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and responding to RFPs/RFIs.
- Continuous Learning & Adaptability: Passion for staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, platforms, and methodologies.
- Collaborative Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team environment, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Presentation & Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Compensation
- $120,000 - $180,000 depending on experience
- Compensation range includes base salary only
Location
- We are headquartered in Ithaca, NY and have a remote workforce in other locations throughout the United States.
