THE WORK:
As part of our $1BN XRP pledge to support builders and developers in the XRPL ecosystem, Ripple has launched several accelerator initiatives to nurture projects and early-stage startups, as well as accelerate innovation in the Web3 and Crypto space. We're looking to bring on board an intern over the summer who has a passion for blockchain technology, an eye for disruptive innovation, and enjoys working with the startup ecosystem to help shape our XRPL Grants and XRPL Accelerator initiatives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Work closely with the program team to support the XRPL Grants and XRPL Accelerator programs
- Assess incoming project applications on their alignment with strategic funding alignment; and participate in interviews
- Support the overall operations and lifecycle of the XRPL Grants and XRPL Accelerator program funding pipelines
- Monitor the progress of portfolio companies throughout their participation and build analyses and reports on their program success.
- Manage and facilitate meaningful connections between portfolio startups, investors, mentors and Ripple team members supporting the program
- Help nurture and grow our ecosystem of investors, startup mentors and benefit partners; this includes identifying and proactively approaching new ecosystem prospects
- Conceptualize and deliver comprehensive market research (e.g. which use case are hot in DeFi right now, how’s the regulatory landscape evolving in a certain target geography)
- Scout for mentors and potential industry partners for our programs
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Currently enrolled in university and pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Economics, Finance or Business
- Strong understanding of and passion for Blockchain, in particular, you’re excited about innovative use cases in Tokenization/RWA and DeFi, you’re quick to understand the business model and product strategy of web3 startups, and bonus points if you’re deep into the X crypto rabbit hole
- Basic knowledge and interest in the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and how it differs from other blockchains
- Proficient relationship management skills; can initiate and cultivate relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional communicator with strong writing and presentation skills
- Clear attention to detail
- A desire to innovate, build, and grow new initiatives
- Ability to rally people together around a common goal and lead by example
