The Role

As the Senior Health Data Analyst on the Compass Patient Team for Veeva Compass, you’ll focus on the health data in our Compass Patient data product.

Veeva Compass is our suite of data products, with Compass Patient including prescription and medical claims record-level data to support more broad de-identified patient analytics for commercial use cases, like patient journey, market landscape, provider engagement, and more.

You’ll own health data investigations and improvements as part of our Product team. You’ll focus on three key areas:

  1. Data Support - investigate internal and external questions and requests to understand data trends and behavior within customer-defined cohorts and across the network.
  2. Data Quality - Define and track quality metrics in your target domain in dashboards, identify improvement opportunities, and work cross-functionally to document and share learnings.
  3. Data Network Improvements - Collaboratively launch new features to continue to enhance our data in your target expertise area. You’ll focus on investigating, defining and testing productizable improvements that work at scale across billions of records.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about data and excited about working alongside Product Managers, Customer Success Managers, Engineers, and QA to implement improvements to continue to enrich our data and drive product excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the investigation and resolution of data observations and data questions driven by internal and external stakeholders
  • Understand our product pipeline and impact to data to identify improvements
  • Build standard templates and practices to streamline data quality in your target domains
  • Own key analytics projects in the data and feature roadmaps
  • Design new data analytics and data quality features & capabilities, including features such as match, merge, dedupe logic, value enrichment and reference mappings
  • Establish quality metrics and build dashboards to drive continuous improvement of our data products for key areas such as merging, payer data, lab, prescribers, etc.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience analyzing prescription data and medical claims data
  • Advanced SQL skills; able to query and manipulate relational databases
  • Knowledge of Industry Standard billing codes such as ICD, CPT/HCPCS, NDC
  • Experience documenting and presenting analytics results with stakeholders
  • Experience defining KPIs and building dashboards to measure success

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Python
  • Experience with the BI tool Sigma
  • Experience in commercial life science use cases
  • Experience in enterprise products

Compensation

  • Base pay: $80,000 - $125,000
  • The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
