Overview:
The Supply Chain & Production Manager role requires deep expertise in beauty or wellness supply chain, logistics, production, and project management to ensure seamless execution of product launches, procurement, and operational efficiency. This role is responsible for optimizing production schedules, inventory management, and supplier coordination to meet business demands. The position presents opportunities to enhance supply chain processes, improve warehouse performance, and drive cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Supply Chain Management:
- Optimize procurement and production workflows by developing strong relationships with key suppliers (e.g., Element, SGC, BMS).
- Lead purchasing orchestration to forecast upcoming production needs and adjust schedules based on demand fluctuations.
- Ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) implementation at DCL within six months and reduce aged inventory to 0% within three months.
- Manage inventory levels across eFactory/Shopify and oversee real-time stock availability while evaluating EDI implementation feasibility.
- Oversee supplier coordination, freight logistics, and component inventory management to minimize disruptions and ensure timely replenishment.
- Maintain inventory visibility across all departments, ensuring alignment between supply chain, operations, and marketing needs.
- Develop and implement warehouse efficiency improvements, focusing on reducing lead times and enhancing fulfillment accuracy.
Logistics & Operations Execution:
- Streamline inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring smooth coordination of shipments from suppliers to warehouses.
- Optimize 3PL performance and distribution strategy by monitoring fulfillment KPIs and ensuring SLA adherence.
- Lead packaging and materials sourcing efforts to align with production timelines and minimize disruptions.
- Support warehouse audits and inventory reconciliations, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Work with external consultants to improve operational workflows and enhance supply chain resilience.
Project & Cross-Functional Management:
- Collaborate with Wholesale and Marketing teams to prioritize platinum SKUs and refine inventory strategy.
- Lead supply chain execution for new product launches, ensuring seamless coordination between procurement, production, and fulfillment teams.
- Support the upcoming packaging refresh by integrating inventory planning and purchasing into the rebrand timeline.
- Partner with Product Development to execute new product introductions and manage sourcing/logistics requirements.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, or production.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, warehouse operations, and 3PL logistics.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and optimizing procurement workflows.
- Proven ability to develop and implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) systems and reduce aged inventory.
- Hands-on experience with inbound and outbound freight logistics, including international shipments.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems such as eFactory, Shopify, and EDI platforms.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate across departments.
- Analytical mindset with experience tracking fulfillment KPIs and monitoring SLAs.
- Ability to identify inefficiencies in operational workflows and implement process improvements.
- Experience sourcing packaging and materials to align with production timelines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a keen eye for operational efficiency.
