At Groups, the Director of Talent Acquisition will lead and scale our recruiting efforts across North America, spanning clinical, non-clinical, and support functions. This position will shape strategy, ensure compliance, deliver high-quality hires, and represent our mission to attract those who share our values in recovering addiction care. The Director of Talent Acquisition will manage the Talent Acquisition team and report to the Executive Director of HR.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000, based on experience

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • TA Strategy: Develop and execute the Talent Acquisition (TA) strategy in partnership with leadership, aligning hiring plans with business priorities across clinical, operations, and administrative functions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and manage a remote Talent Acquisition team. Serves as a mentor and coach to the Talent Acquisition team, building capability in advanced sourcing techniques, interviewing skills, and consultative partnership with hiring leaders.
  • Process Improvement: Enhance and maintain recruiting processes (sourcing, interviewing, offer, onboarding) that are efficient, high quality, and candidate-friendly. Champions a culture of continuous improvement within Talent Acquisition, fostering agility, creativity, and collaboration across the team.
  • Collaborative: Partner closely with clinical leadership and HR/regulatory teams to ensure credentialing/licensure requirements are met per jurisdiction.
  • Data Analytics: Create measure and report on Key Performance Indicators: time to fill, quality of hire, retention, cost per hire, candidate experience, etc.
  • Employer Branding: Own employer branding efforts to attract quality candidates; maintain partnerships with schools, universities, and professional associations.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, healthcare regulations, and privacy laws across the U.S.
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships (recruitment agencies, sourcing vendors), tools, and budget.
  • HRIS Integration: Experience with HRIS implementation and integration, including ADP, with the ability to design and set up system processes, optimize workflows, and ensure scalability and compliance.
  • SOP Development: Proven ability to write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recruiting operations, documenting policies, workflows, and best practices.
  • Incentive Pay Programs: Experience designing, administering, or managing incentive and bonus pay structures for Talent Acquisition teams to drive performance and achieve hiring goals.
  • Compensation Plans: Experience in the design, administration, and management of corporate compensation programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Operational Efficiency: Demonstrated ability to leverage systems and technology to drive efficiency, streamline processes, and improve team productivity.
  • Budget & Resource Planning: Experience managing TA budgets and ensuring FTE planning aligns with overall company goals and financial targets
  • TA Tech Tools: Solid experience using modern TA technology (Sourcing tools, recruitment marketing, dashboards, credentialing system (Modio), iCIMS, ADP,Google Suites).
  • Interview Effectiveness: Develops, reviews, and implements behavioral-based interview strategies to ensure consistent, equitable, and predictive hiring practices.
  • Interview Frameworks: Designs interview frameworks that evaluate candidates’ ability to adapt to and thrive in environments of organizational change.
  • Career Growth Pathways: Partners with leadership to create clear career growth pathways and talent development strategies that support long-term organizational goals.
  • Employee Retention: Implements innovative employee retention methods and collaborates with HR to analyze turnover trends and improve engagement.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including 5 years in leadership (previous Director-level leadership required).
  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management preferred.
  • Experience managing TA budgets and ensuring FTE planning aligns with overall company goals and financial targets.
  • Experience with compensation plan design and administration required.
  • Experience in clinical, healthcare, addiction recovery, or behavioral health is a plus.
  • Experience with a healthcare provider that participates in the Medicaid and Medicare programs is a plus.
  • Experience with remote teams.
  • Strong analytical skills—able to drive decisions based on data.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Passion for mission and understanding of recovery/addiction care.
  • Access to reliable internet and telephone services, specifically 50M download and 10M upload packages or higher as well as a strong WiFi signal from your remote work location.
  • Must meet pre-employment requirements and maintain all applicable state and job-related guidelines for background screening. Depending on state-specific requirements, this may include fingerprinting, drug testing, health screening, CPR/Basic First Aid and license/credential verifications.
