Recognized as innovates in the industry, Halliburton’s Research & Development engineers are responsible for designing the thousands of patented tools and technologies applied in field locations each day all over the world.

Product Services lines looking for R&D Mechanical Engineering:

  • Cementing
  • Production Enhancement

What You’ll Do… This position is located in Duncan, OK.

Our intern program philosophy is to “recruit once, hire twice” with the hope to hire interns back into full-time or return internship roles.

The internship program assignments are 10-14 weeks in duration and are full-time internships.

The summer 2024 internship is expected to begin on May 20, 2024.

  • Projects you could potentially work on include:
  • Use of Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) or Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to evaluate complex problems
  • Developing solutions to improve Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for positive displacement pumps
  • Improving functionality and performance of surface equipment used in well servicing applications
  • Evaluating equipment and operational impact on components of life
  • Perform pilot testing on prototype mechanical and hydraulic systems
  • Designing components or systems to be used in hydraulic fracturing or cementing applications
  • Created product specifications for purchased components
  • What You’ll Bring to Our Team Required Qualifications:
  • Excellent understanding of engineering principles (all subjects of mechanical engineering)
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks, AutoCAD and other design software
  • Familiarity with statistics and other advanced subjects in math for analysis and design
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or post-graduate degree in Mechanical engineering
  • Reliable transportation to and from work daily is required.
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future; Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Self -starters with leadership capabilities, innovative ideas, and the ability to express ideas to team members.
  • Prior intern, co-op, or research experience
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • What We Offer… Relocation This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

To qualify, your university and/or permanent address must be more than 50 miles from your work location.

  • Corporate housing provided for the summer to those candidates who qualify.
  • Relocation assistance. Salary Range:

$26 - $31/hour _Please note that pay information shown below is a general guide only.
