FP&A Manager

As an FP&A Manager you will need to quickly learn the business, develop forecasts, models and reports to support decision making across all departments. In particular, this role will directly support all business leaders in managing their budgets and providing insights to inform forecasting decisions. The FP&A Manager will have the opportunity to grow within the role and have strategic influence on business decisions, and get hands-on experience and learning within a supportive environment.

To thrive in this role, you should be extremely detail oriented and be able to execute with a high level of urgency. You will leverage your experience with reporting of financial and operating metrics, including sales, margin, and customer data, providing explanations of performance. You will

partner with business leaders to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts at the department level and support day-to-day management of their budgets. You will work to understand each business partner’s functional area and leverage that knowledge to provide analyses that inform business decisions.

Here’s what you can expect as an FP&A Manager:

  • Business Expertise: You will leverage your financial expertise by supporting all business partners to produce annual budget vs. actuals and re-forecasts.You will effectively monitor key performance indicators- highlighting trends, analyze results and causes of variance to senior leadership.
  • Strategy: In this role, you will be working with other areas of the business to provide regular and on-demand forecasts. You will partner with HR to track headcount budgets and the corresponding spend, including internal and external labor strategy. You will effectively translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Executive Reporting: You will be developing and maintaining financial models, reports, and analysis to support key business decisions and strategic initiatives. You will lean on your familiarity with Enterprise Software (SaaS preferred) metrics, churn metrics, dollar retention rates, cohort growth rates, lifetime value, customer acquisition cost, gross margin expansion being a big plus.
  • Process Management: You will improve and scale by developing repeatable processes, including standardizing, automating reports and improving how we leverage internal systems.

Pay Transparency
At VTS, we pride ourselves on articulating a clear and transparent philosophy around equitable, impartial compensation that will allow us to recruit and retain an exceptional team. Base salary is market driven at the point in time of offer and is based on tier 1 market data. The salary for this role will range between $150,000 to $170,000 and is determined by a few factors including your skills, prior relevant experience, quality of interviews, leveling and geography.
