Impact

As a Back-End Engineer at our organization, you will be the driving force behind building and maintaining the core infrastructure and services that power our applications. Your work will focus on developing efficient, secure, and scalable server-side logic, APIs, and databases. You will collaborate with front-end engineers and product teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance, providing the foundation for a high-quality user experience. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to scale, innovate, and meet user needs.

Responsibilities

● Build and maintain trading system applications and their supporting code infrastructure.

● Work with both physical colocation hardware and cloud resources.

● Utilize automated testing tools to validate code changes and ensure reliability.

● Support DevOps processes and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tooling.

● Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards across the codebase.

● Provide support for development, UAT, and production environments.

● Document and maintain public APIs and internal documentation, including diagrams.

● Help identify and implement observability tools to enhance system monitoring and troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications

● 5+ years of experience in C++, Rust, or Java.

● Expertise in high-performance engineering, including memory management optimization, kernel bypass networking, and NUMA optimization.

● Experience in financial services, fintech, or cryptocurrency industries.

● Proficient in Linux development and operations.

● Familiarity with messaging protocols (e.g., FIX, JSON over REST or WebSocket), messaging libraries (e.g., Aeron, LBM/UME, Tibco), and messaging transports (e.g., UDP, TCP, shared memory).

● Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling and techniques (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).

● Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tools and pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, TeamCity).

Ideal Qualifications

● 5+ years of experience in modern C++ (C++17 or newer) and supporting tooling including CMake, gcc, clang, and gtest

● Experience with Linux administration.

● Knowledge of kernel bypass technologies (e.g., DPDK, SolarFlare).

● Experience with CPU isolation, core affinity/pinning, and OS optimizations.

● Expertise in memory management optimization techniques (e.g., huge pages, cache alignment, cache locality).

● Familiarity with security hardening software and best practices.

● Experience with AWS management and/or cost optimization.

● Familiarity with networking setups and tools (e.g., VLANs, firewall management, VPN setup, DNS).

● Proficient in managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across colocation and cloud environments using Ansible and Terraform.

● Experience with observability tools like Grafana for monitoring and debugging systems.

● Competitive Salary: A base salary aligned with industry standards for fintech and blockchain roles.

● Salary Range: $150,000 - $175,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, geographic location, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
