Impact
As the leader of True Markets’ international expansion, you will drive business growth in key global markets by developing regional strategies and fostering high-impact partnerships. Your leadership will ensure seamless collaboration across teams, aligning product development with international requirements, while managing cross-functional teams to launch products and scale operations effectively.
Responsibilities
● Manage the development and technical operations for our international business, ensuring seamless service delivery and infrastructure health.
● Make strategic business and operational decisions regarding international services, working closely with leadership to align technology and business goals.
● Support overnight US technical operations, addressing critical incidents and ensuring uninterrupted service.
● Build, lead, and mentor a global engineering team, ensuring consistent delivery and fostering collaboration across regions.
● Coordinate and collaborate with US-based engineering teams to align international efforts with global engineering standards.
● Contribute thought leadership to improve development practices, including through code reviews, training, direct feedback, and documentation.
● Engage in hands-on development within the codebase to guide teams and maintain direct influence over the technical direction.
● Maintain and optimize system and infrastructure health, ensuring systems are stable, secure, and performant.
● Oversee diligence in software development practices, ensuring a rigorous SDLC process, robust testing, and attention to security and task reporting.
● Plan and track OKRs for key projects and deliverables, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
Required Qualifications
● 10+ years of programming experience in C++, Rust, or Java, with deep expertise in high-performance and scalable system design.
● 10+ years managing production-grade software, including defining and enforcing software development best practices.
● 10+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, or cryptocurrency industries.
● 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams, preferably internationally or across multiple time zones.
● 5+ years of experience in electronic trading systems and platforms, with a strong understanding of market structures.
● Strong proficiency in managing Linux servers in both colocation and cloud environments.
● Expertise in AWS cloud resource management, including budgeting and cost optimization.
● Deep knowledge of networking and infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and DNS servers.
● Hands-on experience with financial messaging protocols (e.g., FIX, binary market data feeds) and APIs (e.g., JSON over REST, WebSocket).
● Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) setup, management, and tooling.
● Comfortable with budgeting, cost optimization for infrastructure, and budget planning for engineering teams.
Ideal Qualifications
● 10+ years of experience in modern C++ (C++11 and newer), including working with supporting tools like CMake, gcc, clang, gtest, and SDLC tooling.
● Experience applying regulatory compliance to software systems in the financial industry.
● Strong understanding of software security practices and the ability to ensure software meets and maintains a strong security posture.
● Experience designing and optimizing low-latency, high-throughput systems for financial trading and market data processing.
● Familiarity with market manipulation techniques and methods for detecting and preventing market abuse.
Remuneration and Benefits

● Competitive Salary: A base salary aligned with industry standards for fintech and blockchain roles.
● Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, geographic location, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
