Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Act as a Sales-facing subject matter expert on deal structuring, processes and policies.
- Ensure all commercial terms are reviewed, approved and properly documented in Salesforce in accordance with our requirements.
- Provide Order Management and Accounting teams with context and clarification on complex deal structures.
- Advise the Sales team on pricing, product configuration and business terms.
- Review and manage deal approval process to ensure compliance with company policies and business approval guidelines.
- Identify deal trends and drive efforts to categorize historical contracting and deal structuring trends based on sales segment or industry vertical.
- Partner with sales leadership to identify areas of opportunity and provide them with detailed insights into the business.
- Provide data-driven insights for better decision-making and identify risks and opportunities
- Evaluate processes and offer recommendations for areas of improvement.
- Maintain deal desk documentation and update training materials.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Prior Deal Desk experience (2-5 years) working cross-functionally with Sales, Client Success, Accounting, Finance, and Legal in executing contracts.
- Ability to prioritize workload and comfortable operating under pressure and with a sense of urgency.
- A willingness to enforce policy and deal governance.
- A thorough understanding of the SaaS revenue model and reporting. Experience in Logistics, Hardware and/or SaaS/Hardware hybrid business a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement efforts.
- Clear and thorough communicator, written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and G Suite required, additional sales productivity tools preferred. Experience with an ERP is a plus.
