About Sygaldry Technologies
Sygaldry Technologies is building quantum-accelerated AI servers to exponentially speed up training and inference. By integrating quantum and AI, we are accelerating the path to super intelligence and engineering the conditions for it to scale efficiently and operate affordably. Our AI servers combine multiple qubit types within a single, fault-tolerant architecture to deliver the cost, scale, and speed necessary for advanced AI applications. We pioneer new domains in physics, engineering, and AI, tackling the hardest challenges with a grounded, optimistic, and rigorous culture. We’re looking for individuals ready to define the intersection of quantum and AI and drive its profound global impact.
What You'll Work On
In this internship, you’ll have the opportunity to do original scientific research toward Sygaldry’s goal of building multimodality quantum computers. Based on your background and interest, projects can include:
Setup and testing of experimental hardware.
Design of optical, mechanical, and/or electronic subsystems.
Automating experimental control systems and data collection using Python.
Characterizing system performance and analyzing experimental data.
Making scientific contributions to the field of experimental quantum physics.
QualificationsEducational Experience / Academic Achievements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical), Computer Science (especially AI/ML focus), or a related technical field.
Strong academic record demonstrating proficiency in core subjects relevant to quantum mechanics, optics, electronics, or scientific computing.
Required Skills & Attributes
Enthusiasm to work in a research lab environment and learn about quantum technology.
Curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new tools and techniques.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience with optics, electronics, cryogenic and/or vacuum systems, or precision instrumentation.
Familiarity with CAD software.
Familiarity with finite-element modeling using tools such as COMSOL.
Experience with Python, Matlab, or equivalent programming tools for scientific data analysis and automation.
Prior hands-on experience in a research lab or engineering project is helpful but not required.
How We're Different
At Sygaldry, curiosity and intellectual courage drive our work. We approach ambitious challenges with a grounded, optimistic, and rigorous culture and know that kind people build the strongest teams. We prioritize mission over ego and collaborate openly with a strong sense of shared purpose. We dream big, yet we execute with a love of detail. We’re looking for scientists, engineers, and operators to forge new paths with us at the intersection of quantum and AI.
