Founding Sales Leader
TL;DR
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on sales leader to build our sales function from the ground up and drive us to our first $10m in ARR.
About the role
You’ll be joining as a foundational, leadership-level member of the team (C-suite potential) to build and drive Summer’s sales function. This is a unique opportunity to define our sales motion, build a world-class team, and shape the future of our company. You will be responsible for conducting our initial inside sales, defining the playbook, and then hiring and managing the team to execute on it. As the voice of the customer, you will work closely with the founding team to prioritize revenue-generating product improvements and participate in broader company strategy, including future venture financing.
You’re the perfect candidate for this role if:
- You have significant experience building and leading high-performing sales teams within the data industry.
- You have a deep understanding of the market and customer profiles for data warehousing, ETL tooling, and business intelligence products.
- You are a builder who is excited to conduct the initial sales and create a sales playbook from scratch.
- You have a proven ability to grow revenue and are motivated by setting aggressive but realistic sales goals.
- You are a strategic partner who can manage a budget, create forecasts, and represent the customer’s voice in product and company-level decisions.
