About the Role

TL;DR: We are on the search for a full-time Sr. UX Designer who can own the design of the first product experience our customers will get their hands on.

As a Sr. UX Designer at Summer, you will lead the design of how people interact with our application. Using a deep understanding of our customers and their needs, you’ll create elegant and easy components that make working with data fun. You will be supported by an incredible engineering team who embrace the power of paired design and engineering (one of our core values).

When you join, you’ll jump straight into designing novel data experiences that highlight our unique capabilities and technology. You will be empowered to put your mark across all three pillars of our product (analytics, query, and ingest), to create a cohesive design language for Summer. We strive to present our work in a way that brings joy to our users, and you will be the driver of that ethos.

You're the perfect candidate for this role if:

1. You are interested in complex design problems, especially the design of data focused applications.
2. You are looking for an opportunity to design a product from scratch in a fast moving startup environment.
3. You have experience designing a full user journey from registration to first purchase to long term happy customer.
4. You love working with customers to discover new needs and get feedback on how they are using the product.
