About the Role

TL;DR: We're building a data platform from scratch and are looking for senior backend engineers to take charge and own it.

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Summer you'll build the foundation supporting the pillars of our product. You'll be supported by a frontend team dedicated to putting a beautiful face on the systems you build and a warehouse team committed to helping customers utilize all the incredible features of your work.

Some of the pieces of the product you'll be working on immediately include systems that augment and enable our blazing warehouse performance, cross company (analytics, query, ingest) integrations orchestrated with Temporal, and the architecture/implementation of our single tenant customer experience.

You're the perfect candidate for this role if:

1. You are confident in your ability to independently design and deliver robust, greenfield software solutions in open-ended problem domains.
2. You have built and operated production software at scale before, ideally in Python, Go, or C++.
3. You are familiar with modern data technologies, or have a sincere willingness and ability to learn about them.
