We are looking for a Product Designer II to join the Customer Value team, who will build a broad set of experiences to help members, customers and internal teams at Spring Health. You will design cohesive experiences to help members get the best, personalized care powered by our clinical intelligence engine. You will design a narrative that builds member trust and confidence in the personalized recommendations they received based on their needs. You will work directly with Data Science to ensure our AI recommendations are presented with empathy and clarity. You will help ensure customer trust by delivering the right sized experience based on customer expectations. You will support cross-functional product strategies and directly impact margin, member and customer satisfaction.

Please note that this is a hybrid role based in New York City, with an expectation to be in office 2-3 days a week. Our office is located at 60 Madison Avenue.
What you’ll be doing
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Member Growth teams to identify and ship meaningful and measurable impact on Spring’s Customer expectations and Member experiences and care quality in alignment with Spring Health’s overall product strategy.
- Identify friction points in the member and provider experience and hone in on the most impactful problems to solve. Ship high quality solutions.
- Design the user interface and interaction patterns for our AI-driven journey to care focusing on transparency, trust, and explainability when recommending care modalities.
- Design solutions to test hypotheses and gain signals for further improvements.
- Help everyone across the organization understand design decisions and progress through high quality documentation and guidance.
- Combine empathy, curiosity, and inspiration to develop truly unique approaches that differentiate Spring and advance the mission of promoting access to mental health..
- You will join a cross-functional product team, measured by outcomes, and empowered to drive KPIs and business results. You will have a direct impact on margin.
What success looks like in this role
- Design member and provider journeys to drive measurable improvements in care conversion and continuity of care, contributing directly to core L0 business results.
- Experience improvements increase member care retention, including stronger therapeutic alliance, higher engagement, and fewer members going “off track” across their care journey.
- Partnering with Data Science to create transparent, empathetic, and explainable AI-driven recommendations that enhance member trust and demonstrably improve decision accuracy.
- Cohesive, high-quality design work meaningfully impacts margin and utilization cost, helping drive the sustainability goals of Spring Health.
- Deliver iterative, high-quality design solutions that are adopted by cross-functional teams and consistently demonstrate measurable impact through experimentation, research insights, and product metrics.
What we expect from you
You’ve worked for 3+ years in product design capacity at a technology-driven organization with product managers, data scientists, and engineers, contributing to or leading the design of product experiences with a metrics-driven approach to design.

- Work with research and your team to identify and understand strategic opportunities. Hone in on the most important and impactful problems to solve and how to solve them.
Collaboration & Communication
- Experience partnering closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Data Science, as well as collaborating with external stakeholders such as Customer Support, Marketing and Sales, to create and deliver on a shared vision of success.
- Strong communication skills for articulating, discussing, and advocating for design decisions across the team, cross-functionally and to leadership. High quality documentation and guidance.
- Team-player mindset: what’s good for the team is good for individuals.
Ship Iteratively
- Solve problems with purpose and urgency. Hold yourself accountable to ambitious yet realistic timelines with high-quality deliverables.
- Ability to give engineers guidelines so that they can move forward without fully completed designs.
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to experiment and evaluate hypotheses and make decisions quickly.
Deliver high quality designs
- Genuine interest in building accessible and inclusive products. Understanding of latest accessibility and usability standards.
- Comfortable using and contributing to Design Systems.
- Excellent product, interaction, and visual design. Expertise with Figma and prototyping.
- Multiple examples of your ability to design best in class user interfaces.
- Love for design: you’re not satisfied with the status quo and always think of ways to improve.
Above all, you are empathetic, genuine, adaptive, resilient and curious. You understand that our product can have a significant impact on real lives and you put users first in every decision you make.

The target base salary range for this position is $133,400 - $166,800, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
