About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution within our cross-border payments platform. You will play a key role in translating complex business requirements into clear, actionable specifications and ensuring alignment between stakeholders, product, and engineering teams.
This role requires strong domain knowledge in payments or fintech, combined with the ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Requirements Analysis
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from internal stakeholders and external partners
- Investigate, research, analyze payments networks documentation/specifications and document business requirements based on those.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary liaison between business, product, and engineering teams
- Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and requirement alignment meetings
- Ensure clear communication of requirements and priorities across teams
Payments & Product Support
- Support the design and implementation of funds and payment flows, related to integration to Payment Networks, such as:
- ACH, Fedwire, RTP, SEPA and other international payment rails
- Compliance workflows (KYC, AML, sanctions screening)
- Collaborate with engineering on integration requirements with banks, partners, and third-party providers (Payment Networks and Clearing Institutions)
- Oversee and own full implementation cycle (features and integrations) with Documentation & Delivery
- Create and maintain:
- Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
- Functional Specifications (FSDs)
- Process flows and diagrams
- Support development teams during implementation by clarifying requirements and validating deliverables
- Perform UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure solutions meet business expectations
- Perform features/solutions Demo to internal and external stakeholders/clients.
Process Improvement
- Analyze current workflows and propose scalable, efficient solutions
- Drive standardization of business analysis practices and documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement of product and operational processes
Required Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in fintech or payments
- Strong understanding of payments systems and financial workflows
- Experience working with engineering teams in Agile/Scrum environments
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into technical deliverables
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cross-border payments or remittance platforms
- Familiarity with:
- Payment rails (ACH, Fedwire, SEPA, RTP)
- Compliance frameworks (KYC, AML, sanctions screening)
- Experience working with APIs, integrations, and microservices architectures
- Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, SQL, or data analysis tools
