About Paxos

Today’s financial infrastructure is archaic, expensive, inefficient and risky — supporting a system that leaves out more people than it lets in. So we’re rebuilding it.

We’re on a mission to open the world’s financial system to everyone by enabling the instant movement of any asset, any time, in a trustworthy way. For over a decade, we’ve built blockchain infrastructure that tokenizes, custodies, trades and settles assets for the world’s leading financial institutions, like PayPal, Venmo, Mastercard and Interactive Brokers.

About the team

The Data team at Paxos includes Data Infrastructure, Data Engineering and Data Analytics. We focus on use cases ranging from product analytics to business intelligence and operational automation.

Data is the lifeblood of any organization based in financial services. We’re building a data platform that is trusted and reliable, designed to deliver accurate measurement and insights about our products and business. This platform informs our strategy, provides reporting to clients and regulators, enables the automation of operational processes and drive cost savings and revenue opportunities. Some of the people you would be working closely with are Patrick King, Joseph Eckert and MC Mundy.

About the role

We're looking for a Senior Data Analyst to partner with our team, stakeholders and the broader engineering team to drive measurement and analytics across a variety of use cases, including product analytics, compliance and finance. You'll be a key advisor to your partners, enabling them through data. You'll drive optimization and automation of our business intelligence use cases (e.g., Finance, Compliance, Operations, Growth), helping the organization scale.

What you’ll do

  • Improve Paxos’s products and decision-making by crafting, growing and optimizing our data and data architecture.
  • Partner with PM, Engineering and business leaders (Finance, Ops, Growth, Compliance) and the rest of the data organization to understand data needs.
  • Define the measurement strategy for one or more of our products.
  • Optimize and automate existing processes.
  • Develop state-of the-art data solutions, ranging from analysis to automated processes to tools that address data needs efficiently and scalably.
  • Educate your partners by using your data and analytics experience to "see what’s missing" and drive better decision-making through data.
  • Build data expertise in your areas and become the go-to person for those domains.
  • Become an advocate for data within Paxos by improving the integration of data in the product development life cycle and advising leaders within the company.

About you

7+ years of experience with:

  • Translating business problems and requirements into data problems and communicating results back to non-technical audiences.
  • Performing data analysis; fintech and/or financial markets experience preferred.
  • Expertise in SQL.
  • Designing, building, automating and maintaining dashboards in BI/visualization software (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Sisense).
  • Multitasking, prioritizing and managing multiple projects autonomously in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Proficiency in Python/R/scripting languages, predictive analytics methodologies and packages, experimentation and statistical analysis, metric design and data modeling.
  • Knowledge and experience with blockchain data (transactions, balances, etc).

Pay and benefits

Paxos offers a competitive total compensation and benefits package, including equity. Actual salary within that range is dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience and qualifications.

Expected range for the salary component for candidates located within the United States is:
$157,500$185,500 USD
