About the Role

Pattern Brands is a portfolio of premium home brands, including Miracle Made (premium bedding products), Onsen (premium waffle towels), and GIR (kitchen tools). All three brands run on Shopify Plus. Miracle Made, our largest brand, also operates a multi-domain setup with custom checkout funnels, making it a technically complex environment that goes well beyond standard Shopify operations.

We're looking for an Ecommerce Operations Manager to be the operational backbone of our digital platforms team. You'll primarily work on Miracle Made, with secondary support across the full Pattern portfolio. The role spans Shopify store operations, sales execution, funnel support, dev agency coordination, SEO, project management, and site content management. You'll report to the Ecommerce Team Lead and work closely with our funnel specialist, QA analyst, creative team, and dev agency.

This is a hands-on, high-autonomy role. We move fast, ship constantly, and expect you to figure things out, flag problems early, and improve systems as you go.

What You'll Own

  • Shopify Store Operations: Product catalog management (variants, collections, pricing, merchandising), running Shopify sales and promotional campaigns, launching new products, managing discount codes and banner updates, and day-to-day site functionality across Miracle Made and the Pattern portfolio (Onsen, GIR).
  • Project Management and Dev Agency Coordination: Write well-scoped Asana tickets for our external development team, help manage sprint priorities and the daily update loop, QA developer output before production, and keep cross-functional workstreams on track. Strong project management is a core expectation of this role, not a side task.
  • Funnel Operations Support: Help to oversee stock updates, catalog syncing between Shopify and funnel systems, and supporting the funnel team with operational tasks across our custom landing page domains.
  • Content and Merchandising: Publish and update site content, imagery, promotions, and campaign messaging. Maintain collections and merchandising structure in coordination with merch and creative teams.
  • SEO Execution: Execute on-site SEO including metadata optimization, technical fixes, content updates, and supporting organic growth initiatives in coordination with our SEO consultants.
  • CRO and Analytics Support: Pull performance data from GA4 and Shopify analytics, maintain reporting documentation, and support the team with data for site optimization.
  • Post-Purchase Experience: Manage order confirmation emails, tracking/status pages, and the Junip review program.
  • Operational Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot site issues as they arise. Diagnose problems, document clearly, and route to the right team member or vendor when you can't fix it directly.

Requirements

  • 2-4+ years in DTC ecommerce operations, preferably at a Shopify Plus brand or agency
  • Strong Shopify admin fluency: products, variants, collections, metafields, theme customizer, orders, apps, and running sales/promotions
  • Solid project management skills: experience managing external teams, writing clear tickets with scoping and reproduction steps, and prioritizing workstreams
  • Comfortable navigating a multi-domain or multi-property ecommerce environment
  • Basic SEO knowledge: metadata, technical SEO fundamentals, on-page optimization, and content structuring for organic search
  • Working knowledge of GA4, Shopify analytics, and comfort interpreting site performance data
  • Proficiency with Asana (or equivalent PM tool) for task coordination
  • AI-native: you actively use LLMs like Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools to accelerate your work and are eager to integrate AI into daily workflows
  • Excellent written English for Slack-based, async-first collaboration with a global team
  • Available to work 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST, Monday – Friday, to overlap with US business hours

Who You Are

  • Extremely detail-oriented. You catch things others miss and take pride in getting the small stuff right.
  • Resourceful and scrappy. When something breaks or you don't know the answer, your first instinct is to figure it out, not wait for instructions.
  • Flexible and fast-learning. You pick up new tools, platforms, and processes quickly and don't need hand-holding.
  • Proactive about improving systems. You don't just execute tasks; you notice when a process is broken or inefficient and propose a better way.
  • A direct communicator who writes clear, concise Slack messages and flags problems early rather than letting them snowball.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Replo or similar Shopify page builder tools
  • Familiarity with A/B testing platforms (such as Convert, Intelligems)
  • Exposure to Klaviyo (email/SMS), review platforms (Junip), or affiliate platforms
  • Basic ability to read Liquid templates and make minor Shopify theme edits
  • General tech infrastructure understanding: scripts, pixels, tracking, and how analytics tools connect to a site
  • Experience with headless or custom checkout environments beyond standard Shopify
  • Familiarity with Figma for reviewing design specs and handoff

Compensation

  • This role is budgeted at USD $1,500–$2,000 per month, commensurate with experience.
