In this newly created position, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our online presence, and optimizing our product presentation online. You will be responsible for various tasks to improve the customer's online shopping journey and ensure that our products are presented effectively. This role will be an active cross-functional contributor, collaborating with eCommerce, Marketing, Creative and Merchandising teams.

At time of hire, this role will report to our Head of DTC.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Marketing:

  • Plan and execute site-wide marketing campaigns to promote product launches, special events, and seasonal promotions. This includes creating a marketing calendar, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring all promotional efforts are well-timed and cohesive.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase user engagement and retention on the website. This involves understanding user behavior, conducting surveys, and analyzing data to identify opportunities for enhancing the overall website experience.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to design visually appealing banners, graphics, and promotional materials that effectively communicate marketing messages and align with the brand's aesthetic.
  • Manage on-site advertising placements, such as homepage banners and featured product sections, to maximize visibility and drive traffic to key products and campaigns.
  • Implement customer segmentation strategies to deliver personalized marketing messages and recommendations, enhancing the user experience and increasing conversion rates.
  • Ensure that site marketing efforts are compliant with relevant regulations and align with the brand's values and messaging.

Web Merchandising:

  • Curate and manage product listings, ensuring high-quality images, accurate descriptions, and compelling content.
  • Implement and maintain product categorization and organization to enhance user experience and ease of navigation.
  • Create and update product bundles, kits, and cross-sell/upsell opportunities.
  • Monitor and adjust pricing and discounts to maximize sales and profitability.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO):

  • Optimize product pages and content for search engines to improve organic search rankings.
  • Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for increased visibility.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement SEO best practices across the website.

Content Creation:

  • Develop and maintain engaging product descriptions, blog posts, and other website content.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to ensure a consistent and compelling brand image.

Data Analysis:

  • Use data and analytics tools to track website performance, conversion rates, and user behavior.
  • Generate reports and provide insights to make data-driven decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred but not required: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in digital merchandising and/or eCommerce marketing
  • Demonstrated experience with Shopify
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from data, shaping strategies accordingly.
  • Superlative written communication skills, epitomizing brand voice and excellence in messaging.
  • Adept project manager with superior organizational skills, adept at prioritizing tasks and managing timelines.
  • Innate creative problem-solver, driven by innovation and proactive problem-solving.

Compensation & Benefits

  • The base salary range for this role is $55,000 - $72,000 depending on level, experience and qualifications of the candidate.
  • All employees receive equity in the form of vesting stock options.
  • Other benefits include company-sponsored health insurance, company-paid dental insurance, a generous PTO policy (20 days of vacation, 5 days of sick leave, plus company-paid holidays), as well as a company-sponsored 401(k) plan. We also provide an employee discount on products from Pattern's portfolio of brands.
