Paperless Post is seeking an experienced Product Manager to develop and execute a strategic roadmap for our Send and Manage product experiences. Used by millions of our event hosts every year, this domain is critically important to the growth of our platform, and has ambitious goals for 2023 and beyond. As a hypothesis-driven and data-conscious team leader, you’ll create best-in-class experiences that delight users, and contribute directly to top company goals.

A little about us

The PP Product Management team is lucky enough to work at a truly product-driven company with millions of paying users. We take a data-driven approach to our product planning—working closely with our in-house data analysts, conducting extensive user tests, and collecting real-time user feedback. We’re proud to be building a thoughtful, high-touch, and high-impact product that users trust with their most important life events, and we’re looking for product enthusiasts with whom to share our ambitious vision.

What you’ll do here

  • Build engaging and highly functional event sending and management experiences; this domain is where event hosts build, send, and track their guest lists and associated features.
  • Deliver incremental business value through customer-focused product improvements.
  • Translate company goals into focused initiatives, actionable next steps, and a living backlog of opportunities.
  • Prioritize features, build consensus and lead your team to execute a hypothesis driven roadmap to drive impact on company goals on 30, 60, 90 day intervals.
  • Track and communicate successes and failures with data, adjusting hypotheses and team priorities accordingly.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of designers and engineers by enabling, inspiring, and involving them in the product development process.
  • Support and partner with Product Design, Data, Customer Support and Customer Insights to develop tools and experiences that delight our users.

What you bring to the table

  • 3-5 years of product management experience in a developer-centric environment. Previous exposure, education, or side projects in product design or engineering are a strong plus.
  • Curious, collaborative, and gritty. You’re a natural problem solver and enjoy partnering with engineers, designers, and other PMs. Your ambition and desire to grow outweighs your experience.
  • Passionate about serving customers. You welcome user feedback of all kinds, and strive to resolve gaps between expectations and reality.
  • Interest in communication and delivery systems.
  • Experience with KPI/OKR-based product development.
  • Experience with A/B testing, measuring the incrementality and holistic impact of your work.
  • Comfort pulling and defining relevant data to your domain, analyzing historical trends, and hypothesizing against the information you have (and in some cases, the data you don’t).
  • Strong toolkit for organizing, influencing, and executing across engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Nice to have: experience contributing to mobile consumer products or communication platforms (email, SMS, Whatsapp), experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as Looker.

Company-wide, we enjoy an amazing ecosystem of an even gender split and a balance of engineers and designers. Because Paperless Post isn't supported by ad revenue, we can focus our efforts on creating and improving on the ideal version of our platform, product, content, and partnerships for our users.

We are proud that Paperless Post has helped over 175 million people globally connect in the real world since our inception. Paperless Post exists to help all people celebrate all the moments that matter to them. We believe that having a team reflective of the diverse world around us empowers us to create a product that serves everyone. Women, people of color, trans/genderqueer individuals, individuals with disabilities, and veterans are especially encouraged to apply.

The compensation range for this role is $115,000 - 135,000 USD.

At Paperless Post, compensation is based on a number of factors, including geographic location, job-related skills, years of experience, and internal team banding. All full-time offer packages come with a base salary, equity component, and options for fully paid medical, dental, and vision benefits.
