A World-Changing Company
Palantir builds the world’s leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more.
The Role
Palantir serves a critical role in the defense of democracy - our infrastructure platform - Apollo, Rubix and Mission Manager - is quickly becoming the infrastructure substrate of the defense tech ecosystem of the US and its allies. Apollo is also used internally by Palantir to support our Foundry and Gotham product offerings at the world’s most critical institutions.
As a product manager within Palantir’s infrastructure group you will enable Palantir to execute against the totality of its ambition. This looks like delivering robust, stable infrastructure APIs and a uniform user experience across a diversity of hardware form factors, from public hyperscalers with broad access, down to air-gapped single node edge devices, and everything between. You will synthesize the nuanced requirements and operational constraints of our customers into crisply articulated requirements, and help our world-class engineering teams deliver the right outcomes in the right order with discipline and focus.

Core Responsibilities

  • Engage with and internalize Palantir’s infrastructure strategy and the needs of your team’s customer base.
  • Dive deep into the details of customer technical and logistical constraints and workflow specifics across the business and synthesize requirements.
  • Define the art of the possible through a deep awareness of cloud and Kubernetes primitives, and the broader CNCF ecosystem.
  • Influence the APIs through which first-party and third-party software developers interact with Kubernetes to satisfy their runtime needs, cleanly abstracting away the complex distributed systems powering them.
  • Work closely with your team and stakeholders to enable sustainable and timely delivery of technical solutions to address business needs.

What We Value

  • Clear, concise, nuanced verbal and written communications.
  • A focus on impact and an ability to articulate the value your team’s work provides.
  • Credible experience with infrastructure systems - hyperscalers, container runtimes.
  • Detailed technical understanding of infrastructure components - virtualized and bare metal compute, networking primitives, Kubernetes and the broader CNCF ecosystem.

What We Require:

  • 3+ years of professional product management experience in the infrastructure space.
  • 1+ years of development experience on distributed systems or low level components.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
