The Role
As a Capture and Proposal Strategist you are a critical driver of Palantir’s U.S. Government business growth. Through collaborating with business development and technical execution stakeholders, you will help expand Palantir’s footprint in the Department of Defense (DOD) by supporting customer acquisition strategies and writing compelling proposals to win contracts. Curious, critically-minded, and detail-oriented, you are an exceptional writer and strong project manager capable of turning complex technical concepts into persuasive proposals, white papers, project vision statements, and other business documents. You will write technical and non-technical explanations of our software's capabilities, contextualize our technology against customer-specific use cases, track active opportunities for updates, and manage formal proposals to win new business.
This role is an opportunity to embed deeply in a unique company. Palantir is fast-paced, and you'll be expected to make decisions independently by weighing many needs and priorities. In this role, you'll wear many hats, arising to new business challenges while growing your skills and domain expertise on the job. We are looking for mission-driven teammates who can jump into any writing project with enthusiasm.

Core Responsibilities

  • Shape strategy for winning business on priority accounts; and iterate on written products for contracting officers, proposal evaluators, customer leadership, and other audiences
  • Leverage deep expertise in Palantir’s software capabilities to describe how Palantir can support the critical mission needs of existing and potential Defense customers
  • Learn complex technical information and become comfortable in clearly communicating it to both technical and non- technical audiences

What We Value

  • 4+ years experience in a role requiring writing and project management
  • Ability to translate technical concepts and differentiators through concise and compelling written communication
  • Ability to quickly understand technical concepts, proactively learn with minimal instruction, and think creatively to apply existing technology to bespoke use cases
  • Ability to navigate and adapt to an unstructured environment
  • Demonstrated project management skills and collaboration experience including with a team on a joint output, across departments / agencies / roles, and leading projects that require input from multiple stakeholders
  • An active security clearance (or ability and willingness to obtain one) at Secret level or higher is an asset, but not required
