The Role
As a member of the Network Engineering team, you will be deeply involved in our mission to continue the evolution of Palantir’s network services to prepare us for the known and unknown demands. As one of our London based engineers, you will be responsible for network services in the EMEA region, but also part of a broader team supporting multiple other locations, including the US and APAC. You will lead on projects, network deployment, support and service improvement around our continued growth in this critical part of the world.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support our Networking needs globally, primarily focusing on UK, Europe and the Middle East.
  • Learn to deploy, maintain and scale network infrastructure with minimal downtime.
  • Be responsible for maintaining documentation & datasets used to support the network.
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers across multiple timezones.
  • Facilitate feedback from end-users and provide network infrastructure related assistance.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues in the infrastructure, including vendor escalation.

What We Value

  • Ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to identify, explain and resolve issues in a production network environment.
  • A solid foundational understanding of the OSI Layers from physical to application.
  • Experience with Palo Alto Networks or similar NGFW technology.
  • Experience with layer 2 protocols (e.g. LACP, MLAG, Spanning Tree, etc.) and routing protocols such as BGP or OSPF.
  • Experience with Wireless Networking (deployment and troubleshooting).
  • Experience with public cloud service providers (e.g. AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.) and VPN technology (GRE, IPSec/SSL VPNs).

What We Require

  • 2+ years of network engineering experience.
  • Willingness and eligibility to obtain a UK security clearance.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%.
