About the Role
Our Product Design and Research Team is seeking a part-time Product Designer to join us on an hourly, contract basis. In this role, you will support design work across multiple parts of our product portfolio, including member-facing, coach-facing, and internal-facing experience.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Explore and develop new concept ideas, create iterations on existing ideas, and contribute along the entire software development lifecycle, as needed.
- Translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive and engaging user experiences.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that adhere to Noom’s design system and brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to design and launch new features and experiments.
- Engage our user research, data science, behavioral science, and consumer insights teams to gather insights to understand user behaviors, pain points, and motivations.
- Clearly and concisely explain your ideas and design decisions.
What We’re Looking For:
- Ability to dedicate up to 12+ hours per week to Noom projects
- 3+ years of design experience
- 2+ years of experience in a fast-moving, startup-type design role, agency, or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience consulting in a part-time capacity
- Experience designing for a wide variety of project types including rapid growth experiments and mobile apps features
- Understanding of hypothesis-driven testing and product building
- A demonstrable record of shipping visually polished, successful projects on time
- Comfort with a high degree of ambiguity and speed
- A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to deliver highly usable and engaging designs
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Strong grasp of design fundamentals, including UX, flow, layout, type, color, best practices, and trends.
Location and Compensation
This is a remote contract position within the Continental United States. The hourly rate for this position is between $90-$110/hour.
