Whether remote or in-office, we support how you thrive best. We invest in your well-being, development, and ability to make an impact because when one Nerd levels up, we all do.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the Personal Loans vertical, one of NerdWallet’s fastest-growing businesses. You’ll drive strategy and execution across both organic and paid marketing channels, shaping the end-to-end user experience and making a tangible impact on millions of consumers navigating key financial decisions. You should be passionate about delivering meaningful, intuitive, and user-friendly product experiences that empower people to make confident financial choices.

You’ll combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, collaborating with cross-functional partners and third-party providers to integrate robust solutions that enhance our ecosystem. The ideal candidate has a strong background in fintech, consumer finance, or growth-focused product management and thrives in a fast-paced environment where experimentation and innovation drive measurable results. You’ll continuously monitor product performance metrics to optimize user engagement, conversion, and long-term value, ensuring that every enhancement moves both the customer and the business forward.

This role will report to the Senior Manager, Product Management for the Cards, Personal Loans, and Wealth teams.

Where you can make an impact:

  • Own the Personal Loans Strategy: Lead the end-to-end vision and roadmap for the Personal Loans vertical, partnering with data, design, engineering, and marketing to drive growth across organic and paid funnels.

  • Accelerate Growth: Build on the vertical’s momentum by launching and optimizing experiences that improve customer outcomes and scale the business.

  • Collaborate on Paid Marketing: Partner with the Performance Marketing team to design, test, and refine paid channel experiences—balancing efficiency with a seamless user journey.

  • Leverage Market Insights: Conduct market analysis and user research to uncover opportunities, inform strategy, and guide product decisions.

  • Champion Customer-Centric Innovation: Deeply understand consumer behaviors and needs to deliver personalized, high-impact product experiences.

  • Drive Execution: Partner cross-functionally to deliver new features and product enhancements on time and with measurable impact.

  • Optimize Performance: Use data, A/B testing, and experimentation to improve engagement, conversion, and retention.

  • Advocate for the Customer: Keep user needs and outcomes at the heart of every decision.

  • Mentor and Collaborate: Support junior PMs, fostering growth, inclusion, and shared success.

Your experience:

  • 7+ years of product management experience, ideally in fintech, consumer finance, or a related industry.

  • Proven success leading products or experiences in performance/paid marketing, ideally within fintech or consumer lending.

  • Experience scaling products in fast-growing businesses—balancing quick wins with long-term investments.

  • Strong analytical skills and fluency with data tools to guide decisions and measure impact.

  • Familiarity with A/B testing, user research, and data-driven product development.

  • Ability to work closely with engineering teams; comfort with APIs and technical workflows.

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders without direct authority.
