NerdWallet’s Business Team is seeking a Business Development (BD) Lead to help grow and strengthen our partner portfolio across Lending vertical(s). In this high-impact role, you'll work closely with a range of external partners while helping to shape and execute a sustainable, differentiated partnership strategy.
As a BD Lead, you'll take ownership of partner relationships and lead initiatives focused on opportunity identification, strategic planning, and economic optimization—including business case development, pricing negotiations, and long-term revenue growth. You’ll work cross-functionally with internal teammates across Product, General Management, and Operations to bring partnership strategies to life, while also collaborating with colleagues who support program execution.
This is a dynamic, client-facing role that calls for strong strategic thinking, operational rigor, and the ability to manage complex initiatives involving both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, is energized by collaboration, and brings creativity and balance to solving tough challenges. This role reports to the Head of Partnerships & Business Development.

Where you can make an impact:
Cultivate and grow NerdWallet’s relationships with existing clients to meet revenue and performance targets across multiple high-impact partnerships
Drive and deliver short and long-term revenue growth through optimization and innovation
Identify, socialize, and execute new business initiatives in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders
Define and implement operational processes and standards to improve working efficiency and effectiveness
Provide a positive and results-oriented work environment among team members and partners

Your experience:

6+ years of experience in strategic and B2B partnership roles, with a demonstrated track-record of developing, nurturing, and successfully executing strategy
Experience working with or for other digital affiliates, online-based businesses, or in consumer acquisition
Proven track record of delivering and exceeding business results
Professional experience within the personal loans industry
Intellectual curiosity and desire to become an expert
Functional experience within the financial services affiliate space
