Fundera, at NerdWallet, is the go-to financial resource for small businesses, helping entrepreneurs achieve their financial goals and grow businesses as big as their aspirations. The Sales Operations Team works to ensure we support future growth goals with the right compensation model, tools, quantitative insights, and change management support. Our Sales Operations Analyst will analyze sales data to identify areas of improvement, design efficient systems and processes for revenue-generating activities, and provide ad hoc support where needed.

Where you can make an impact:

  • Own and enhance core sales operations processes, including targeting, sales rep good standing, and quota relief tracking, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, and external stakeholders to reconcile monthly performance of 40+ partners within set end-of-month deadlines.

  • Manage and improve the commissions process, ensuring timely, accurate payouts while identifying opportunities for efficiency and automation.

  • Lead operational support efforts by managing the sales operations ticketing queue, identifying trends in requests, and driving process improvements.

  • Develop and present data-driven insights for weekly and monthly leadership reviews, including trend analysis, forecasting, and performance drivers.

  • Enhance reporting infrastructure by optimizing Salesforce dashboards, data models, and partner-specific reporting to ensure a single source of truth for the Sales team and cross-functional partners.

  • Proactively identify and drive process improvements across sales operations using Salesforce, internal applications, and automation tools.

  • Manage multiple priorities and ad-hoc projects, ensuring timely execution and proactive communication with stakeholders.

  • Deliver strategic insights by analyzing sales data, identifying key trends, and making actionable recommendations that improve sales performance and efficiency.

Your experience:

We recognize not everyone will meet all of the criteria. If you meet most of the criteria below and you’re excited about the opportunity and willing to learn, we’d love to hear from you.

  • 2-4 years of experience supporting a Sales Team or a relevant advanced degree.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in economics, finance, engineering, analytics, or a related field.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (including formulas, automations, and data analysis).

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or a comparable CRM (experience with automation or reporting a plus).

  • Understanding of sales commission structures is preferred, but training will be provided.

  • Basic familiarity with logic-based automation (e.g., Salesforce Flows, Zapier, SQL, or Python) with a desire to advance these skills.

  • Detail-oriented and highly analytical—you enjoy working with data and automating repetitive processes.

Where:

  • This role will be based in New York, NY.

  • We have found that working in-person, alongside peers and more senior members of the team, confers great advantages owing to the spontaneous learning and collaboration opportunities that arise daily on a sales floor and that cannot be easily replicated in a remote environment.
