Fundera by NerdWallet is the go-to financial resource for small businesses. We’re here to help entrepreneurs achieve their financial goals and grow businesses as big as their aspirations.

As a catalyst for smart financial decisions, our combination of proprietary technology and financial expertise provides business owners with tailored solutions based on their unique needs and eligibility—helping them prosper, create more jobs, and, ultimately, grow the economy.

The Sales Operations Team works to ensure we support future growth goals with the right compensation model, tools, quantitative insights, and change management support. Our Senior Sales Operations Analyst will focus primarily on analyzing sales performance to provide insights that help identify opportunities for growth, and provide ad hoc support where needed.

Where you can make an impact:

  • Analyze sales performance to provide insights that help identify opportunities for growth and ability to communicate those findings in clear, actionable ways for key stakeholders.
  • Be the source of truth to collect and analyze data to assess performance and growth opportunities.
  • Interpret sales data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reporting.
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

You are:

  • An excellent communicator that can build rapport with salespeople, Sales management, and other departments. When you are working on a project ownership is clear, timelines are met, and updates are communicated to stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback. We run a complex organization and you are comfortable correcting something and constructively implementing it later.
  • Accountable for your decisions, assumptions, and work product. If something can be made better, we work to do it together collaboratively.
  • Detail oriented, and understand that the little things matter.
  • Extremely comfortable with data and analysis and the ability to provide insights from analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High competency in Excel and Google Doc Suite: Pivot tables, vLookups, Index Matching. Spreadsheets, formulas, and automations are exciting, not viewed as a challenge or headache.
  • Intellectually curious, and show interest in understanding the “why” behind the operational choices we have made.

Your experience:

We recognize not everyone will meet all of these requirements. If you meet most of the criteria below and you’re excited about the opportunity and willing to learn, we’d love to hear from you.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in economics, finance, engineering, computer science or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
