About You:

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will take a leading role in our engineering team, influencing product development from design to production. You will have a crucial role in enhancing our product's capabilities and efficiency. Your Impact:

1. Enhance a backend system with cutting-edge technologies to support hundreds of thousands of global cameras.

2. Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering technical excellence and alignment with company objectives.

3. Advocate projects, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to software craftsmanship.

4. Work with diverse programming languages like Rust, Clojure, Ruby, and Golang.

5. Work in close collaboration with other teams in the company, handling mission-critical microservices and APIs.

We're Looking for Someone with:

1. 5+ years of backend software development with strong coding skills, and experience in software design/architecture.

2. Experience with high-scale, critical production systems and techniques like load balancing, caching, and distributed systems.

3. Proficiency in designing and maintaining web services and understanding various protocols (REST, gRPC, WebSocket).

4. Solid experience in testing methodologies and test automation frameworks.

5. Proficient in monitoring and observability with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Jaeger.

6. Proven experience in delivering large, successful backend projects.

7. Strong problem-solving abilities under pressure and leadership experience.

8. Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

9. Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes will be an advantage.
