The opportunity
As a Senior Manufacturing Software Engineer on our Factory testing team, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of manufacturing software systems, automation testers and tools.
Location: This position requires being fully on-site at our Plantation, FL facility to ensure seamless collaboration and hands-on support for daily operations. Relocation assistance is available for non-local candidates.
What you’ll do
- Design and implement advanced manufacturing software systems and tools to support production efficiency and scalability.
- Ensure the security and protection of core intellectual property across all manufacturing software platforms.
- Integrate data systems seamlessly with other manufacturing and enterprise systems to enhance data flow and visibility.
- Leverage emerging technologies to design, automate, and optimize manufacturing test processes.
- Develop and maintain robust web services to support manufacturing operations and system connectivity.
The experience you bring
- 5+ years of combined professional experience in software development or related fields
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and proficiency in scripting languages such as C#, Python, or C/C++.
- Hands-on experience with database systems, including Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Proficient in the .NET development environment.
- Familiarity with common software design patterns such as MVC and MVVM.
- Development experience across both Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Solid understanding of communication, networking, and messaging protocols.
- Proven experience designing and supporting high-availability systems.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
It’s exciting if you also have
- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field
- Advanced, developer-level proficiency in the .NET environment.
- Experience with IoT systems and SECS/GEM communication standards is a plus.
- Background in high-volume, world-class design and manufacturing processes for consumer electronic products is highly desirable.
- Experience with image processing and computer vision technologies.
- Hands-on experience with industrial robotics, control systems, and systems integration.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%.
