About the Role

As a Hardware Quality Engineer at Latch, you will play a key role in upholding the integrity and reliability of our hardware products. The role primarily focuses on failure analysis for devices that return with issues. This includes handling a large volume of devices, conducting failure analysis, opening up devices to identify issues, documenting findings, testing, shipping, and assembling devices for shipment.

Responsibilities
:

Perform comprehensive root cause analysis on product failures or issues
Identify high-risk failure modes in engineering development
Ensure products adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements
Ownership of product failure data collection, reporting, and analysis
Support with technical emergency requests and timely response to alerts as needed.
Perform testing and shipping of devices.

General requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Proficiency in quality analysis tools and software
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a dynamic environment
Familiarity with embedded systems and electrical design
Understanding of standard communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, RS232)
Ability to follow and create SOP’s relative to Failure Analysis
