Product Manager, AI Enterprise Security

Usable Machines is growing our team of passionate people on a mission to make AI accessible to all.

We are looking for a PM to help build AI Enterprise Security. As the PM leading this area, you will be responsible for working with engineering and research to enable IT professionals to transform their employee experience, maximize operational efficiency, and centralize data protection. You will flesh out and refine the overall product hypothesis whilst validating with customers. You will also be responsible for iterating on the implementation until we have a product that customers truly love.

You will become an expert in how to deploy secure AI systems at the workplace, as well as some of the unaddressed needs of their existing workflows, and you will bring that learning back to the team. You will advocate for big changes and additions to our core product that have the potential to change how the industry works in the future.

This is a full time role in Los Angeles.

What you'll do at Usable Machines:

  • Along with leadership, help develop and build alignment around a product strategy for a new product opportunity.
  • Along with research, you will do many rounds of in-depth customer research to validate and refine the product idea.
  • Work with design to determine how to best integrate this product idea into the core offering.
  • Help your team do all the things you’d expect from a PM org, like driving planning and prioritization, defining and tracking key metrics, collaborating on marketing, messaging, positioning, and go-to-market plans
  • Translate product strategy into feature briefs, epics, and user stories, using both qualitative and quantitative data effectively to inform product direction and prioritization
  • Manage and prioritize your team’s product backlog
  • Manage the product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Collaborate with product marketing to develop pricing, positioning and messaging
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for sales, sales engineers, customer success, support and professional services
  • Meet with customers for user research into your initiatives, share our product vision and roadmap, and serve as a product expert
  • Fully step into the role of Product Owner on the engineering teams you work with, collaborating with your team to define their backlog for the next few sprints to ensure we’re working on what matters most

We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • 3+ years of product management experience
  • Have experience with the ambiguity associated with 0 to 1 projects.
  • Have a passion for AI and it’s security limitations
  • Demonstrates the ability to drive cross-functional OKRs and prioritize based on a blend of quantitative findings and qualitative research
  • Proven experience translating customer problems into a well defined roadmap and use cases that can be consumed and executed on by design and engineering teams
  • Storyteller who enjoys sharing product knowledge and customer stories as a way of influencing others
  • Excited by challenges of scale in taking a product to the next level
  • Superb written and oral communication skills, with an ability to handle both executive-level discussions as well as functional / technical deep dives
  • Enjoys meeting with customers, building external relationships, and evangelizing their products
  • Leadership through influence rather than organization structures. Proven ability to motivate, lead, and collaborate with cross-functional product teams and manage interactions across engineering, design, marketing and operations
  • Positive, action-oriented attitude, open to ideas from all
