Senior Cloud Engineer

imgix is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer with a broad skill set including the design, development, and deployment of custom cloud services. This person will join our Infrastructure Engineering team and will work alongside the Image Engineering team in order to build and operate the high performance and highly available image rendering stack. Our render stack is used by some of the largest sites on the Internet to power image and video delivery.

As imgix grows in both the size of our engineering team and breadth of cloud services being consumed, it is important for our engineering organization to develop best practices for using cloud services and the associated development tools. As a member of the Infrastructure Engineering team, part of the role is to research and develop these best practices and add them to a growing toolset that is available for all imgix engineers.

What you'll be doing:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-uptime cloud-native services including our core visual media rendering service
  • Create new features/services that complement and/or evolve our existing offerings
  • Maintain better than 99.99% uptime for billions of requests per day
  • Continually measure and improve the performance, efficiency, and reliability of our services
  • Manage cloud infrastructure in accordance with industry standard security practices
  • Perform on call duties including troubleshooting, incident remediation, and root cause analysis
  • Build infrastructure tooling that helps the engineering team build cloud services more efficiently and automates repetitive tasks
  • Create documentation in the form of run books and design docs
  • Other technologies used: Python, Go, Terraform, Docker, CDN and various Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience creating and maintaining highly available cloud services with a public cloud provider including multi-region experience
  • Enjoys solving problems by using technology in creative ways
  • Experience using continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows
  • Experience in using scripting, automation, and orchestration tools including infrastructure as code tooling
  • Experience deploying and operating caching layers
  • Interested in or have experience with working on a 100% remote team
  • Able to communicate synchronously and asynchronously

Company, Salary and Benefits:

The targeted base pay range for this position is $140,000 to $190,000. Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

Associate Account Manager

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Associate Account Manager who is adept at not only maintaining and growing existing client relationships but also skilled in spotting and leveraging upselling opportunities and ensuring on-time renewals. The right candidate will have a sharp ability to intuitively understand and predict client needs, proactively suggesting solutions that align with their objectives and challenges. This role demands a tactical approach to building relationships, aiming to create substantial and lasting connections with clients beyond just transactional interactions. An Associate Account Manager should be proficient in identifying areas for account growth and confidently navigate clients through our range of products to improve their overall experience and satisfaction. The key to thriving in this role lies in a forward-thinking attitude, a profound grasp of client requirements, and a dedication to effectively addressing their concerns, thereby building enduring trust and loyalty.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of existing accounts in the SMB cohort with a focus on achieving Net Revenue Retention (NRR) targets.

  • Manage all post-sales operations including building and maintaining customer relationships.

  • Collaborate closely with sales engineers, support teams, and the finance department.

  • Conduct comprehensive account reviews, advising customers on their current usage of imgix, potential improvements, and future product expansions.

  • Responsible for retaining and upselling customer contracts for assigned accounts.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring imgix meets their business needs.

  • Advocate for customers within imgix, coordinating with internal teams on customer issues and needs.

  • Track account and opportunity progress using our CRM system (SFDC).

  • Occasional travel for client meetings, expected to be less than 10% of the time.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a Sales role, ideally as a successful BDR, Associate Account Manager, Customer Success Manager, or Sales Support Engineer.

  • Familiarity with SaaS and B2B business environments.

  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, and Google Workspace tools including Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

  • Experience/comfortable selling a technical solution to a technical audience.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with some exposure to presenting to technical teams and decision-makers in enterprise-level organizations.

  • While not mandatory, previous experience or knowledge in the areas of images, Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), Digital Asset Management (DAMs), and website performance is highly beneficial.

  • Basic understanding of or experience with Codepen and HTML is a plus.

  • Willingness to engage in occasional travel for client meetings, conferences, and related events.


The targeted base pay range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000. In addition to base pay, the on-target earnings also consist of a significant bonus component, providing additional potential for earnings beyond the base salary. Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

Billing Specialist

Imgix is seeking a Billing Specialist Contractor who will assume a central role in our financial operations. In this capacity, you will be tasked with the precise and efficient handling of billing transactions in strict adherence to contractual commitments. This position is of utmost importance in maintaining billing accuracy, nurturing favorable client connections, and overseeing the accounts receivable process. Reporting directly to our Head of Sales, this role is instrumental in our financial ecosystem.


Responsibilities:

  • Setup, maintain, and manage all interactions with customer Accounts Payable (A/P) personnel and procurement portals (e.g., Coupa, Ariba, etc.), fostering strong relationships with clients.

  • Ensure that all invoices contain the necessary information to facilitate prompt payment by customers, including accurate pricing, terms, and purchase order references.

  • Maintain a comprehensive list of procurement contacts for all customers, keeping it up to date and readily accessible for efficient communication.

  • Partner with vendors to investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, ensuring accurate and timely transactions and fostering positive vendor relationships.

  • Monitor invoicing activity to ensure that customers adhere to agreed-upon payment schedules, proactively addressing any delays or issues.

  • Proactively track, manage, and resolve customer disputes, inquiries, and collections issues, collaborating with internal teams as needed to reach solutions.

  • Maintain open and effective communication with customers, keeping them informed about their outstanding debts and approaching payment deadlines.

  • Generate and maintain reports related to accounts receivable, billing status, and collections activity for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related role.

  • Proficiency in billing software and financial systems.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

The targeted base pay range for this position is $21.63/hr - $28.85/hr Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the position determined by role, level, and location.
