Purpose of Role
- To support business implementations based on the existing applications
- To determine system specifications based on business needs
- To reutilize applications capabilities
- To setup and configure systems to provide the require functionality.
- To provide training / consultancy to ensure the business can be used systems appropriately and efficiently.
- To create and maintain documentation required to support the implementation of systems.
- To provide technical support in case of incidents in Production
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Facilitates the delivery of quality service to all users, internal or external, as part of the IT team
- Contributes to business decisions about applications in place
- Ensures that solutions are flexible enough to satisfy both global and local business needs
- Communicates the design and benefits of solutions
- To details system specifications based on the analysis of business requirements.
- Analyses users’ needs, develops formal user requirement documents and designs specifications to meet those requirements
- Ensures all designs fit within the proposed solution model
- Ensures development teams are given sufficiently detailed requirements to produce the required deliverables first time
- To tests and proves all programs and systems built, ensuring high quality, reliability and compliance to Assurant Solutions (Assurant) IT standards
- Outstanding verbal and written communication soft skills, with a strong emphasis on clarity
- Confidence speaking with small to large audiences both internally and externally, providing valuable input and inquiries that elicit critical feedback
- Exceptional skills identifying subtle nuances in business requirements and translating them into precise technical requirements
- Experience working in a high-paced, highly flexible, team environment
- Aptitude for logical and analytical thinking, coupled with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with log-level data analysis of application behavior discrepancies
- Applied understanding of languages: SQL, JSON, XML, HTML, YAML
- Proficient with SQL queries, temp tables, procedures, etc. – able to build complex reports and data extracts
- Utilization of API tools: SOAP UI, Postman, Swagger UI
- Experience with agile management tools (ie:Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint)
- Liaise with external vendors to ensure system faults are diagnosed and resolved.
- Provides all the knowledge and documentation needed to develop a solution
Experience
- 4 years working with business users and stakeholders on business requirements, software setup and testing, technical documentation (including data-process flows), and systems analytics
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Preferred Skills
- Fluent in Spanish and English (C1)
- Good working knowledge of the modules such as: General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Bank Reconciliation, Purchasing, Logistics, Inventory Management, etc.
- Knowledge and experience in SQL (Oracle, Sql databases / PL/SQL scripting)
- Ability to understand and work within local country requirements and customs
- Ability to assess competing priorities and organise personal workload appropriately
- Ability to conduct training and communicate ideas appropriately to the audience
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently or with others as part of a team
