The Trainer/Peer Support Specialist serves as the subject matter expert for departmental process, procedures, and policies by utilizing their experience of working on multiple programs in multiple departmental functional areas. The Trainer uses their solid working knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of the department to develop the knowledge skills and experience of individuals within the department, as well as providing positive encouragement and reinforcement to drive individual and team success, while being instrumental in identifying improvement opportunities which will deliver cost affective measurements within the department.

This is an onsite role in our Mt. Juliet TN facility with a schedule of Friday-Sunday from 5AM to 5:30PM

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for all departmental process & procedures for new and existing associates
  • Understand the standardized documentation applicable to each role within the department
  • Provide peer-to-peer instruction and support utilizing the Technical Instruction Model as needed on process/procedure/policy updates, deviations, and new program implementations
  • Provide training on PPE equipment and use as it pertains to their job assignments
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and data entry to ensure tracking of peer instruction and progress of individuals development
  • Identify process improvement opportunities though collective information and provide effective / implemented solutions
  • Conduct bench audits & assist in troubleshooting (log in, unable to view docs)
  • Work with supervisor to implement any changes or adjustments on production floor as a result from the audits, including improvements to the training strategy and process
  • Communicate any identified trends or escalated findings to management

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimal of 2 years-experience in department operations and the ability to understand and provide peer instruction on departmental processes & procedures
  • Requires successful completion of the Peer Technical Instruction Model Learning Course
  • Strong delivery skills to present peer support and instruction in an effective manner
  • Strong computer skills, such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to coach and give feedback to peers
  • Identify problems and the corresponding ability to quickly develop recommendations and decisions for problem resolution
  • Strong procedural and documentation skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, goal oriented and time-sensitive environment
  • Bilingual

Pay Range:

$16.95 - $27.12

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
