Email Marketing Lead

Assurant is seeking an Email Marketing Lead to join our team! This role is responsible for effectively scaling our Email Marketing & Automations Center of Excellence by working collaboratively across the org and with various lines of business. The Email Marketing Lead will manage high-priority projects, execute HTML/CSS email development, as well as build integrated automations to deliver a best-in-class email marketing experience. He/She will be responsible for continually measuring performance insights against KPIs and make recommendations that will further improve Assurant’s conversion, segmentation, personalization, lead-scoring, and automation tactics.
** This is a remote position.
Candidates located in eastern and central time zones preferred.
Responsibilities
Email Design + Development - 30%
- Manipulate existing HTML code to make necessary copy and link changes.
- Ability to pay very close attention to testing and QA details using our QA tools and internal testing teams.
- Import/Host images, PDF files, and other content pieces on platforms for use in email marketing messages.
- Ability to make edits to design templates in software design tool. From-scratch design is not required.
- Ability to adhere to brand guidelines, understanding font hierarchy, headings, colors, etc.
Analytics & Strategy - 30%
- Create performance reports for all emails and deliver to line of business leads in timely fashion.
- Work collaboratively to execute Wrap-Up / Overall campaign reporting.
- Monitor sender score and other deliverability metrics.
- Establish performance goals for the channel and provide on-going feedback and insight on enhancing email performance, engagement and capabilities.
- Work collaboratively to leverage CRM & Web Analytics to show holistic performance
Platform Execution - 20%
- Building of basic automated journeys to enhance user experience and further automate manual processes.
- Deploy email marketing campaigns to the appropriate audiences on schedule, sending confirmations to all marketing teams of progress.
- Update subscriber data for additions, removals, manual list imports, campaign CRM edits, synchronized data confirmations, etc.
- Set up basic form handlers with pre-defined rules, duplicating and editing existing form handlers for use with similar ongoing projects.
Project Management - 20%
- Leverage internal project management tool and enterprise contractor tools to track time, notate and maintain project status across all lines of business and teams, ensuring deadlines are met and all projects are progressing as planned.
- Act as a liaison between marketing teams and solution teams to ensure smooth internal experiences, such as onboarding and/or learning of new technology and training others. Ability to present in front of an audience.
- Leverage software tool to cleanse all lists, manipulating the data and importing to our platforms, and getting the email ready for deployment.
- Participate in calls and status updates, often providing updates to larger groups.
- Assist in managing third party relationships and technology software for efficiencies in the email channel.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years HTML/CSS experience. Basic understanding of email development and the ability to make coding edits.
- Basic understanding of email layouts, brand guidelines, responsive design techniques, and the ability to make design edits, color and font changes, etc. in Photoshop.
- 2+ years of experience working with enterprise-level marketing software.
- Strong written, verbal & communication skills.
- Superior project management & organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of Photoshop or similar tool required.
- Basic understanding of Responsive HTML/CSS front-end development, specifically for email marketing required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years project management. Specific experience in regard to managing large scale email campaigns.
- 1+ years of experience influencing a highly matrixed environment while building cross-functional relationships.
- 5+ years of experience managing multiple competing priorities to deliver results by a deadline, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
- 2+ years of experience with the Adobe Creative Suite of products, such as Photoshop and Dreamweaver.

Pay Range:
$63,400.00 - $105,800.00Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
