What’s the role about?
We are seeking a Mechanical Breakdown Insurance (MBI) Claims Officer to join our team on a permanent basis. This role assists policy holders, dealers, and repairers with policy coverage queries and claim lodgements.
The MBI Claims Officer drives customer satisfaction and ensures all parties are kept informed throughout the process. Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant is required to have their Automotive trade certificate.
You will be based in our stunning new central Auckland offices, where you will join a team that is passionate about providing the best experience. This role has flexibility to work from home up to two days per week. Plus, no weekend or night shifts!
Reporting to the MBI Team Leaders, you would be responsible for:
Registering, assessing and processing all insurance claims assigned to you, making decisions or making recommendations to approve/decline claims
Following all processes and guidelines and act within delegated authority
Ensuring all documentation is up-to-date, accurate and correctly stored
Building strong relationships with dealer and repair networks
Resolving customer, repairers, and dealer complaints and/or objections
Responding to queries about policy coverage, the claims process, and information requests
Working effectively in a team environment, collaborating with others and sharing your knowledge and skills to achieve team goals and objectives
About you:
Automotive trade certificate (required)
Experience handling and making claim decisions (desired)
Technology savvy and quick to learn new systems
Proactive attitude and willingness to learn, great team player
Great customer service skills, ability to handle disputes in a professional manner
Ability to meet service levels and individual KPI’s
Ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively
Decision making skills and ability to problem solve
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
