As a Buff and Polish Reconditioner, within this role you will perform cosmetic reconditioning on a device following a precise documented process, based on the cosmetic defects identified at the Reconditioning Grading Station. The result of the Reconditioning Process will be to improve the cosmetic condition of the device to either A-Stock or CPO grade.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

• Need to be a skilled grader to identify the cosmetic condition of the device
• Perform device reconditioning under a prescribed process of (Depth of scratch / Sequence of scratch removal using the proper abrasive, pad, and application pressure / Time Allotment)
• Maintain a successful reconditioning rate to A-Stock / CPO Grade >80%
• Successful demonstration of grading alignment to A-Stock and CPO standards, with quarterly evaluations
• Entering relevant data and grading results in our computer database
• Documenting relevant facts and information to support work performed
• Participating in continuous improvement and team building activities
• Maintain productive working relationships with all team members
• Provide process improvement feed back
• Work under immediate supervision
• Performing other duties as assigned

What are the requirements needed for this position?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years demonstrated quality experience and cross training in two or more job areas (includes current) are required
• Full understanding of work process and flow
• Ability to use a personal computer and enter data with basic software
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to assess cosmetic defects in the area of depth and recondition ability of the defect
• Ability to work with pneumatic tools and equipment
• Ability to categorize the material construction of various OEM’s Display and Back Cover construction (Gorilla Glass 2, 3, 4 etc….) and understand the proper material reconditioning steps
• Ability to maintain a consistent pressure on the polishing pad
• Understand the concept of a single unit process flow
• Ability to work in a single unit process flow
• Ability to maintain product segregation

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

• One year or greater of previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
• One year of greater of Quality Assurance/Inspection experience
• Any verbatim written procedure compliance experience
• Familiar with basic electronic test equipment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to interact effectively and positively with all levels of company personnel

Pay Range:

$16.57 - $26.51

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
