This position is responsible for Business Development with Small to Mid-size Dealers in the Commercial Equipment Market specific to construction and agriculture industries. Identification of potential clients and opportunities, service existing clients and present proposals to address client needs, concerns, and objectives, attend industry functions.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

Work directly with small to mid-size Equipment Dealers throughout the country on sales training, marketing, and dealer issues.

  • Identify and market to current small to mid-size dealer base products and services via phone, virtual meetings, and email.

  • Generate standard and special request quotes to dealers and OEM representatives.

  • Keep up with product and service information and updates.

  • Direct sales leads to outside sales team for follow up.

  • Prepare & send announcements to dealer base when changes occur.

  • Provide Training for on-line quoting system to Dealer F&I managers, sales managers, sales staff, and dealer principals via online or virtual meeting.

  • Follow up via phone each week and provide additional training, quotes and build relationships.

  • Identify and communicate advantageous new product, market segments or service solutions for product/service development.

  • Identify market and competitor trends. Communicate to management for action if necessary.


What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Demonstrated self-starter able to work with minimal supervision

  • A minimum of 1-year experience in a sales of business-to-business products

  • Goal-oriented, self-starter, positive attitude with strong communication, presentation and technology skills

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Approximately 25% overnight travel

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, insurance or related field or equivalent work experience

  • Understanding of the commercial equipment market and dealer networks

  • Strong understanding of commercial equipment lending market

How much should I expect to travel?

Approximately 10% overnight travel

Pay Range:

$62,000.00 - $103,400.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
