As the Change Management Manager (People), you'll have the exciting opportunity to drive change and make a real impact on the organization focused on the people side of change. You'll be at the forefront of implementing changes to organizational structures, business processes, systems, technology, and more. Your role will be to create and execute tactical change management plans for high-impact, strategically aligned Assurant enterprise-wide global initiatives. You'll be a key player in maximizing employee awareness and adoption while minimizing resistance. With your expertise, you'll lead the development and implementation of effective change management tools and strategies that increase employee adoption and achieve desired business results across the enterprise globally. What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Apply the Assurant change management methodology to effectively develop and implement strategic and tactical change management plans that engage stakeholders and guide them through the change process on complex projects and programs

  • Conduct business impact and risk assessments to document people, process, and technology impacts at the company, department, and job-specific levels and determine the best approach for addressing impacts and risks

  • Employ advanced critical/strategic thinking skills to identify issues, question assumptions, develop comprehensive solutions and recommendations, and escalate for resolution if needed

  • Effectively advocate the change management methodology and benefits across the organization

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with project Team Members, key Stakeholders, and Executive Sponsor(s)

  • Identify potential resistance to change or adoption, perform root cause analysis, investigate information, perform impact analysis, and formulate and execute plans to develop solutions

  • Help identify and deliver continuous improvement of our processes, tools, and techniques, including change management playbooks

  • Manage change management consulting resources (as required)

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a direct change management role with experience identifying, creating, and delivering change strategies and tactical solutions

  • Advanced understanding of how people go through a change and the change process

  • Proficiency in change management principles, methodologies, and tools

  • Advanced consulting and facilitation skills with a demonstrated ability to adapt style to the needs of stakeholders without compromising the defined objectives

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, effectively prioritizing and managing simultaneous projects

  • Change Management Certification or designation desired

  • Prior experience in a consulting environment is a plus

  • Strong influencing skills, ability to build value-based relationships, and leveraging these skills and relationships to get things done

  • Ability to establish strong personal credibility

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to listen to and translate information for others to understand across various audiences

  • Strategic orientation: able to clearly align work to the business strategy

  • Results-oriented: outcome and metrics-driven; use of benchmarking to create, revise, and deploy change programs

  • Challenges thinking and questions assumptions in a constructive way

  • Handles complex, confidential, sensitive situations appropriately and maintains objectivity

  • Advanced skills in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems

How much should I expect to travel?

  • Up to 10% travel

Pay Range:

$99,200.00 - $165,600.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
