The Quality Assurance Test Engineer is responsible for analyzing requirements, developing testing plans, installing software, implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions for Mobile Device Diagnostics solutions. This role will also be analyzing and verifying collected data/images for Screen damage detection Neural Network solution. The Test Engineer will also troubleshoot and support the deployed software.

This role is an onsite position in La Vergne, TN.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

Analyze requirements and design solutions for approved projects and change requests of moderate to high complexity and risk.

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.

  • Review established quality requirements and measurement metrics.

  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.

Participate in quality assurance and testing to achieve quality objectives.

  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test case.

  • Participate in quality assurance and testing activities according to planned schedules.

  • Learn, use and gain experience with testing tools and techniques

  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.

  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

  • Evaluate outcomes, report results and document findings according to current standards.

  • Work with Engineering team to provide QC data set for training NN models.

  • Periodically run reports from user data to monitor distribution of models using the deployed software.

  • Write and execute scripts to automatically pull data and categorize it.

Provide system support

  • Learn and enhance knowledge of the various multi-platform system support environments, utilities and procedures

  • Provide timely, concise communication of incident status to appropriate personnel

  • Document incident occurrence and resolution(s) applied using designated repositories

  • Consult with staff personnel as required for effective incident resolution

  • Resolve development and support issues of moderate to high complexity or risk

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related subject.

  • 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance for Mobile Device Software.

  • Good understanding in Software development lifecycle.

  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.

  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.

Pay Range:

$71,300.00 - $119,100.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
