This job is responsible for servicing a designated group of customers, primarily the Association of United States Postal Lessors program, providing support to Producers and Agency Management as applicable, processing work, receiving and making calls to customers and insurers, or by assisting in any other areas as required.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Service a designated group of insureds, manage and process insured requests including changes to policies; review carrier and customer billings. (15%)
  • Provide response to customer inquiries and requests, in order to foster new-business opportunities (including by identifying cross-selling opportunities), maintaining customer relationships and building customer loyalty. (10%)
  • Reviews assigned policies to determine if additional coverage should be solicited prior to renewal. (5%)
  • Conducts periodic service calls for designated customers, insurance carrier and claims partners. (6%)
  • Quote new and renewal risks, as assigned. (9%)
  • Review applications, renewal requests, and endorsements for compliance with underwriting authority and guidelines. (6%)
  • Prepare and process policies, endorsements, binders, and certificates, as assigned. (10%)
  • Handle telephone requests and miscellaneous correspondence, such as mortgagee requests, certificates, additional insureds, and so on. (5%)
  • Process cancellation requests. (2%)
  • Rate and compute endorsement, cancellation, additional, or return premiums. (2%)
  • Review company-produced policies and endorsements for accuracy, as assigned. (4%)
  • Take claim reports and maintain claim files on clients handled. (2%)
  • Participate in seminars and classes for skill and knowledge development. (1%)
  • Prepare and file monthly tax filings. (8%)
  • Maintains producer and agency licenses to keep current. (7%)
  • Coordinates with agency IT contractor for proper performance of rating and billing system. (8%)
  • Perform other duties as required.

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Software.
  • Knowledge of insurance carrier rating programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Licensed Property & Casualty Agent.
  • Insurance Industry Designation such as CISR or equivalent.
  • Experience using Applied Epic system

How much should I expect to travel?

  • 5% travel

Pay Range:

$62,000.00 - $103,400.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
