The IT Helpdesk Engineer will work closely with IT Sr. Helpdesk Engineer and other team members to grow our enterprise systems, test and implement new technologies, and provide world-class support for our end users in Japan both internal and external who uses Assurant systems/ platforms as our vendor/ partner company.

<Primary accountabilities/ responsibilities>

  • Assist and work with the Sr. Helpdesk Engineer to perform IT helpdesk duties
  • Provide IT Related support for Assurant Japan employees, external agents in our outsourced warehouses and call centers (about 300 accounts)
  • Build PC
  • On-site/ remote technical support for PC issues
  • Respond to and update the status for the requests/ incidents
  • Break-fix support for Laptop and Desktop
  • Software Installation support
  • Trouble shooting support (Operating System, MS Office, and other business application)
  • Meeting support for PC and/ or voice connection (On-site/stand by)
  • Physical office access issues with access card as well as IT access issues with password and security, application configuration and trouble shooting.
  • Work with the US team for the requests/ incidents that are managed by the Global team
  • Perform device asset management (PC/ Monitor/ Phone/ Headset etc.)
  • Create and Update user manuals and those for Japan IT team
  • Conduct IT onboarding session to new employees

<Required experience, skills, and knowledge>

  • IT related University degree or Diploma
  • Fluent Japanese and Business level English are a must
  • 3+ years of working experience on related field
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexible for Office and remote site
  • Proactive, self-starter yet team player
