As a Training Manager at Assurant Recovery Solutions, you will play a crucial role in identifying and addressing training needs in collaboration with key stakeholders and leadership. This role demands a dynamic professional with expertise in instructional design, onsite facilitation, who will focus on the Collections Specialist program. This role will be fundamental in developing professionals who are dedicated to serving our partners and customers.

Reporting to the Director of Product Operations, you will lead the execution and implementation of effective training sessions, materials, and courses for adult learners. You will collaborate with our Collections Operations team to assist in the strategic planning of staffing requirements.

This opportunity will be a hybrid position, two weeks in the Bothell, Washington office and two weeks working from home.

Washington Compensation range: $68,000 to $98,000

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Execute and update training programs and review current development programs to ensure adherence to company goals.

  • Partners with senior leadership to define changing training needs and monitor the quality and alignment of programs to improve participant performance outcomes.

  • Ensures that both long-term planning and short-term delivery are accomplished.

  • Monitor participant progress and instructional program effectiveness – including evaluating the effectiveness of other Training Techniques, generally in a Train-the-Trainer model, and the performance of new hires.

  • Deliver learning through multiple modalities (including in-person, virtual, social, and other emerging modalities) to new hire employees and existing employees.

  • Deliver learning content, lead group activities, and facilitate discussions using adult learning theories.

  • Maintain knowledge of Assurant technology, processes, and procedures; effectively communicate in the learning environment.

  • Remain current on FDCPA, TCPA, FCRA, and UDAAP Federal and State laws to ensure training manuals and classes are current with the current regulations.

  • Own overall responsibility for the administration and setup of technical collection software and other applicable hardware and software tools areas such as the CollectOne, Transunion (TLO) Skiptracing tools, Hydracore,

  • Facilitate the distribution and tracking of equipment for remote learners.

  • Research new emerging technologies and consider how those technologies will impact the team's current and future training preparedness.

  • Screen and interview candidates for open positions.

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on staffing needs and requirements.

  • Responsible for maintaining and communicating applicant tracking tools to analyze hiring trends, applicant flow, wage assignment, and staffing needs for upcoming training schedules.

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Learning and Development, Education, or Collections leadership

  • Expert Facilitation, Presentation, and Mentoring experience

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

  • Strong leadership skills to influence team performance.

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-focused field, Education, Communication, or a related field

  • 3 years of experience within a Large Market Collection Agency (over $10MM per year in annual receipts)


How much should I expect to travel?

  • Up to 5% annually

Pay Range:

$59,200.00 - $98,800.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
