Maintenance Technician (Weekend Shift)

Under supervision of the Facilities Supervisor the Engineering Technician will perform facility wide repair, installs, upkeep and preventative maintenance as required to maintain and promote facility operations, manufacturing readiness, and business growth.

This is an onsite role within our Lewisville, TX location.

It is also a three-day weekend shift, Friday – Sunday 6am-6pm.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Mechanical aptitude required to assemble racks, benches, carts, etc. Must be familiar with basic hand and power tools.

  • Preventative maintenance including conveyors, pallet jacks, compactor, company vehicle, etc.

  • Network/DATA/alarm/camera cabling for running, mounting and termination of network/DATA/alarm/camera cables.

  • Electrical installation experience for switch, fixture, outlet replacement with minimal new circuit installation.

  • Plumbing experience to install or repair faucets, drains, toilets, and pressurized air lines. Experience with copper, PVC / CPVC, & PEX and rubber airline.

  • Carpentry abilities including, framing, door / window installation / adjustments & drywall repair.

  • General maintenance duties including tech bench build and setup, production line build/teardown, sign installs, painting, janitorial, etc.

  • General computer usage/setup skills to include familiarity with computer hardware and peripherals such as monitors, printers and cables associated.

  • Evaluate equipment, qualify components, support equipment maintenance, etc. Actively identify & pursue process improvement initiatives.

  • Identify and report process deficiencies and potential improvements to the department Supervisor.

  • Perform root cause failure analysis on field failures and repair process failures.

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • High School Diploma / GED.

  • 1+ years of practical hands-on experience in the electrical, mechanical, or plumbing trades.

  • 1+ years of conveyor maintenance experience is required.

  • Mechanical aptitude for use in the assembly of racks, carts, benches, etc.

  • Able to work with limited supervision.

  • Ability to prioritize and work from a schedule.

  • Comfortable working from heights.

Other Requirements:

  • Able to read and comprehend assembly instructions.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, leads and supervisor of the organization.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations where only limited oral instructions are available.

  • Can perform analysis/ work using some independent judgment. Decisions may affect team.

  • Ability to use positive interpersonal skills to handle customer problems.

  • Must possess oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work scheduled hours required plus overtime as dictated by company.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) for purpose of production documentation creation.

  • Has awareness of new technologies/techniques.

  • Communicates skills and problem resolution.

  • Requires basic arithmetic skills.

  • Has a substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • 5+ years or experience in a manufacturing environment and 3+ years of conveyor experience.

  • Any exp with automation conveyor with PLC

Pay Range:

$19.59 - $32.33

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
