Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Create complex SQL Queries to locate, extract, manipulate, and reconcile data.
• Knowledgeable of software and source system applications.
• Understands programming and coding in supported software platform. Researches and provides resolutions to develop or modify information systems. Codes, tests, debug, documents and maintains programs.
• Develops well-defined user specifications following departmental documentation standards.
• Accurately produce details and requirements needed for internal and external (Finance, Accounting, Regulatory, State DOIs) requests and reports; suggests new formats when applicable.
• Documents requirements for new product installations, new client installations, and client maintenance related to actuarial processes (Pricing and Reserving).
• Completes deliverables related to the month-end GL Financial Close process (Reserving).
• Performs analysis at manager’s request for new states’ regulatory requirements.
• Knowledgeable of various data modeling practices to support Actuarial.
• Executes on multiple projects with varying deadlines; communicates status to manager regularly.
• Proactively works to build strong relationships with peers, manager, and internal areas.
• Actively manages self-development. Seeks knowledge & skills from team and other resources to accomplish goals.

Basic Qualifications Required - Experience, Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Business, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or Statistics
• Advanced proficiency in MS SQL Query writing and other MS Office Applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SharePoint. Intermediate proficiency to various data repository platforms (SAS/SQL/etc.).
• 4 years or more of overall professional experience
