About the role

Reporting to the Claims Manager, this role is responsible for management of the portfolio of insurance claims, managing all claims and negotiations across the Motorcycle portfolio.

Based in our Auckland office, we are seeking an individual who is self-motivated and is comfortable working in a results-based position.

Some of the key responsibilities:

• Answer customer enquiries around coverage, lodging a claim, and information required to support a claim
• Report and escalate risk and compliance related concerns, issues and failures.
• Deliver general technical assistance and advice in regards applications to insurance law
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce/ mitigate claims costs

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

• At least 1-year prior claims experience in the Insurance Industry
• Sound knowledge of claims processes especially an understanding of motor/ motorcycles insurance products
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• High level interpersonal and analytical skills
• High level of numeracy skills, to be able to understand and effectively settle credit hire claims and invoices
• Strong ability to plan and manage time is essential
• Sound computer skills
• Proven customer service skills
• confident negotiator
