The Opportunity:

Reporting into the Actuarial Director you will provide high-quality output from actuarial activities, with the opportunity to progress in the business and complete qualification as an actuary.

You will offer insights for the business across multiple geographies and products.. You will have a unique opportunity to work with senior management and contribute to decisions made in the business.

You will:

• Lead Solvency 2 calculations such as Technical Provisions and Solvency Capital Requirements.
• Contribute to annual Actuarial Function Report (AFR) and Own Risk Solvency Assessment (ORSA) for both UK and Dutch entities.
• Take a lead role in identifying, prioritizing and implementing model developments.
• Oversee the progressive automation of essential regular reports.
• Work with other functions to ensure controllership over data feeds.
• Assist with migration between actuarial software platforms.

You will have the following experience:

• A (2.1) in a numerical degree - preferably mathematics, statistics or actuarial science
• 3+ years of experience in an actuarial role in the general insurance industry
• Exam progression under IFoA or a similar body
• Prior experience of Solvency 2 modelling and understanding of relevant regulation
• Experience communicating to multiple partners using a variety of formats
• Data handling skills such as;
  • Excel (at an advanced level)
  • SQL
  • PowerBI
• Experience of actuarial modelling software
