The Talent Consultant will serve as an integral part of the global Talent Team and is accountable for designing and executing a wide range of engaging and effective learning and performance support solutions to advance skills and capabilities across the Enterprise, creating measurable value to the organization. The role will transform business priorities into employee-centric learning solutions that can be delivered at scale in a sustainable way.

The consultant role will specialize in one of the following two areas.

· Client Solutions – This role will support the delivery of client change solutions up to medium levels of complexity and can include multiple LOB’s and geographies to help the business achieve its strategic aims and objectives focusing on our Client Portfolio which includes: Digital First, Product, System, Process, New Client Delivery, New Hire Content, etc.

· Enterprise Learning & Performance - This role will shape the evolution of our manager capability framework by owning one or more elements within the framework and contributing to the others. This role’s primary focus will be on supporting aspiring up through mid-level people managers. This role may also assist with diagnosing, designing and/or facilitating enterprise learning experiences specific to new hire onboarding and/or professional development as business needs require.

This is an individual contributor role that will lead the end-to-end learning deliverables for assigned projects by consulting with internal stakeholders, conducting needs analysis, designing materials/partnering with Instructional Design team, managing the project, facilitating learning experiences, and measuring the business impact.


Learning needs assessment and consultation

· Consult with people business partners, subject matter experts and key stakeholders to understand business objectives, determine appropriate learning needs and recommend solutions on current and future priorities

· Build a deep understanding of the business (where we are, where we are headed, strengths and challenges) and strong business relationships so that we are best positioned to diagnose current and anticipate future needs

Solution design and development

· Own the design and build (or procurement of) and implementation of fit-for-purpose, cost-effective, sustainable solutions, leveraging a digital first approach when appropriate

· Assess the efficacy of solutions by defining and tracking how impact and outcomes will be measured, continuously improving programs and processes to increase value over time

· Keep up to date on best practices, industry and digital trends as it relates to manager and professional development and facilitation techniques and work across the Talent Function to ensure we develop high quality learning programs and solutions


· Facilitate live learning (virtual or in-person) and generate a productive environment for all learners to share, practice and network

· Demonstrate expert presentation, time-management and organizational skills when leading events, allowing participants to focus on their learning

· Bring back learnings and insights from courses delivered to shape/refine content/approach as needed

Project management and communication

· Proactively keep key stakeholders informed of plans and progress, and remain informed of what solutions are available, when and how to access

· Develop detailed project plans, plan and track deliverables to ensure quality goals and timelines (promised to the business) are achieved

· Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and learning and performance team and ensure that deliverables meet all quality standards and timeline agreements

· Regularly inform the team of progress updates and contribute to the improvement of project management practices within the team

· Conduct and participate in project review meetings

Required Skills:

Needs assessment: Diagnosing the business need, and, what is required to ensure solutions are fit for purpose

Learning design: Creating engaging, creative and impactful learning experiences and then continuously improving

Facilitation: Ability to present to, engage, and communicate to global audiences at all levels (virtual and in-person)

Project management: Planning, communicating and problem-solving to ensure solutions are delivered to quality and time targets

Organization: Managing a portfolio of projects and being adept at focusing on shifting business priorities

Measurement: Analyzing performance metrics to ensure program and solution performance meet original goals

Business acumen: Understanding key business drivers that impact performance

Customer focus: Ensuring a high level of satisfaction from people managers that attend/use learning solutions

Influencing: Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and leveraging these relationships to get things done

Collaboration: Seeking opinions/thoughts of others and engaging colleagues and peers when designing solutions

Technology: Digitally-savvy, is aware of and keeps pace with technology that can be used to deliver innovative solutions


  • 5+ years working in a global L&D function
  • 5+ years working with a focus on Consultation, Defining Learning Solutions, Facilitation, Design, Project Management and Evaluation

Additional Experience:

  • Working in a fast-paced organization within the technology, mobile, or financial services sectors
  • Working for a Global, Fortune 500 company across different time-zones and different languages
  • Designing learning solutions across multiple-modalities (VILT, group coaching, focus groups, web-based, self-paced asynchronous, video, audio etc.)
  • Internal coaching of people managers
  • Familiarity with Workday LMS
  • Use of Zoom and MS Teams tools to facilitate virtual classrooms
